It is not distinct, and because it does not fixate on virtue and non-virtue, it is not diverse. The dharmas that arise from that are distinct and diverse because their own characteristics are distinct from each other, and because virtue and non-virtue, etc., manifest as entities. It is taught that it is not seen that diverse and distinct things such as rice, barley, and wheat arise from non-diverse barley seeds. For example, regarding "with various pigments," pigment is something that does not show the difference of colors. Or, Tigu grass is something that does not show the difference of being tied with thread. Similarly, the various habits produced by the many seeds that act as doors are not manifested as diverse at the time of habits. The accomplishment of the fruit is the putting of the color container into it. Because it is established as a condition, like cloth, it is the Alaya consciousness, because it shows various dharmas like colors. In terms of the chapter on dependent origination, it is said, "This is only in the Mahayana," etc., because it is difficult for individual ordinary people to know because it is subtle. It is extremely profound because it is difficult for Hearers and Solitary Buddhas to fathom. Or, it is subtle because it is difficult for Hearers, etc., to know. It is extremely profound because it is difficult for Bodhisattvas in the stage of practice with faith to fathom. Or, it is subtle because it is difficult to know without being in meditative equipoise. Even the knowledge of extremely profound meditative equipoise is difficult to fathom. Because it is difficult to know and fathom how various dharmas arise depending on the Alaya consciousness, therefore this is taught only in the Mahayana. Having gathered the dependent origination with proximate function into the self-nature differentiation, it is said, "If briefly summarized," etc. Among them, the ability to differentiate self-nature is also needed there, it is the self-nature differentiator. Similarly, the ability to differentiate between pleasant and unpleasant realms is also needed there, it is the pleasant and unpleasant realm differentiator. Self-nature.

Because for the sake of distinguishing various kinds, because it becomes an object of cause, it is called arising from this, therefore it is called dependent arising. That is also the nature of the fabrication of elaboration. In the so-called good and bad destinies, good and bad destinies are name and form, etc., up to feeling, and birth, etc. To this, because the limbs of the nature of karma and afflictions become causes, it is able to distinguish between pleasant and unpleasant destinies. Or, good and bad destinies are the twelve limbs themselves, because relying on the former and former limbs, the latter and latter limbs arise. In this order, the twelve limbs themselves become the cause of good and bad destinies. Among them, the first dependent arising is only taught in the Mahayana because it is subtle and profound, because it is taught from the Alaya consciousness. The second is also taught in the Hearer Vehicle because it is not as profound as that because it does not distinguish the Alaya consciousness. Among them, some say the elephant, just as the Buddha previously taught the Alaya consciousness, so the Tathagatas also taught the heretics. Some say the elephant's nose, for example, the heretics heard that the Alaya consciousness itself is the object of all seeds, etc. Some say, for example, those heretics only aim at the accumulated power, and wrongly think that nature, etc., is the cause. The so-called all seeds, here because the seed is said, so in order to specifically understand the seed, the inside and outside, etc. are said. The outer seeds are the roots of rice and The inner is collected by the Alaya consciousness. The so-called two unclear ones are the two unclear and completely unclear good and non-good, or the two defiled and purified, which are synonyms for the unstated. Some read as two, the seed is good
