In the Lābu Sūtra, it says that it has not been completely liberated from afflictions, nor will it be. And it is also established in sūtras such as the Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra. It can also be established by reason, such as the so-called "non-ignorance impurity." The so-called "non-impurity" means that ignorance has autonomy. But it is not because it does not have the same nature as other root afflictions. Because if it is the same as anger, etc., it will also lead to that fault. It is not because it does not have the same nature as all afflictions and near afflictions that it leads to that fault, because that would become non-existent. Therefore, it is the same as the root afflictions, and it is also not of the same substance as other aggregates of mind and mental factors, so autonomy is non-impurity. But it is not because of the uncommon meaning, because consciousness is the same as others. It will also lead to that fault. According to the Vaibhāṣika school, there is only one kind, which is the same as the co-emergent consciousness, and it is an obstacle to seeing the truth, because it is abandoned by the path of seeing. According to the Mahāyāna school, there are two kinds, because they universally arise at a certain time. The one that is the same as the co-emergent consciousness is one kind. The second kind is because it universally arises at all times, so it is fully established by the argument that will be explained. That is not for the co-emergent consciousness, because those are constantly cut off. It is also necessary to analyze it in particular, for the time being, it is not for the five aggregates of consciousness, because where there is incompatibility, there is an antidote. If you ask: There is no antidote in the defiled mind either, so wouldn't it lead to non-existence? Answer: No, this is not an argument, but this is just refuting what is admitted by the unlearned Vaibhāṣika school. If the other party says that there is also non-impurity in the five aggregates of consciousness. Then, it should be said to him: If you admit that whichever consciousness has the path of seeing, that consciousness has an incompatible aspect, then there is no path in the five aggregates of consciousness, because that

Because of looking back. Or the term "to what" is related to the object. If to the object, which is the nature of the four truths, there is an antidote, then only on that, as its object, because seeing its dissimilar aspect, there is something to be abandoned. The five aggregates of consciousness are not, because of facing backwards. According to one's own view, this word should also be interpreted in this way: this "to what" is related to that otherness that has become the object. Also, in order to explain it, it is shown in connection with the alaya consciousness. On that, there is also ignorance that corresponds to the afflicted consciousness, because it becomes an obstacle to seeing the alaya consciousness as selfless. It is also related to time, at what time, there is the first moment of the path of seeing, then just like the height and low of the scales, the superior qualities of the dissimilar aspects cease together, then all of this is impossible for the five aggregates of consciousness, because it is not uniquely equally abiding. It is not suitable for that consciousness that arises universally at all times, because it is impossible for one dharma to have two autonomous dharmas, temporarily, attachment and other mental factors that are autonomous are not. It is also not for the non-afflicted, because it contradicts it, and also because the practice of the preparatory path in the order of large and small will be lost. Therefore, it is necessary to acknowledge another seventh consciousness, that is, in what, there is universal arising at all times, that is the afflicted mind. On that, there is ignorance and autonomy, because by its power, it draws in attachment and so on that correspond to it. For the entering consciousnesses, because of being universally ignorant before, other afflictions arise from this, because the previous habituation is the main thing, so below it, if it corresponds to attachment and so on, then sometimes it will also become non-autonomous. It will also become a fault of being different from the five, saying that the Vaibhashikas think that the basis of the five aggregates of consciousness is the eyes and so on arising together. The object is
