It was not explained to the Shravakas. The so-called "river" means that it is transmitted from one moment to another, so the lineage is not interrupted, just like a river of water. As long as samsara exists, there will be no other form of change, so it is not allowed to think of this as "self," so it was not taught to those children who see "self." The so-called "being the cause of all form sense faculties," and so on, refers to showing the source of sound entering. Because it is the same as the achievement and happiness during the life, it takes all form sense faculties, so it is called the consciousness of taking. Otherwise, it will be destroyed like a dead body. All bodies, body, the reason why all bodies become the place of near attainment is that even if form sense faculties do not appear, or there is no form, the body will manifest, which is the self-connection. That "Spralwa" is completely holding. Because that manifestation is near attainment, when fainting in semen and blood, the Alaya consciousness holds all the bodies, because the habits of all the bodies are placed, so it is completely holding. That is also called mind, which is how other scriptures show different names. The second is called afflicted mind, because it is in accordance with the four afflictions such as view of the aggregates. Among them, the view of the aggregates is the attachment to "I" and "mine." Due to its power, the pride of "I am" arises, arrogantly thinking "I am I, I am the lord." If these two exist, attachment to "I" will arise, liking "I." The cause of these three is ignorance, that is, not understanding, is the side inconsistent with wisdom. That consciousness

Therefore. Because of knowing objects. The term "thus" is established as a cognition in name because it appears to grasp objects. Because of being immediately after and clinging to self, mind is divided into two. This is in the manner of a definitive word, because the word mind is not manifest. By means of both the establishing and definitive words, it is in order to know the meaning of the word. Because it cannot be shown to others without reason, in order to establish the afflicted mind, it is necessary to establish it with rational verses. After "unmixed ignorance" and so forth, if the afflicted mind does not exist, then unmixed ignorance will also not exist. Unmixed ignorance refers to the obscuration that prevents the arising of knowledge about that thing, which will be explained below. This does not occur in the five consciousnesses, because there is no antidote to abiding in them. Wherever there is a discordant aspect, there will be an antidote. The five consciousnesses are not its antidote, because the path of seeing does not arise on them. It is also not on the consciousness of the non-afflicted mind, because the very nature of affliction itself will make it afflicted. It is also not on the afflicted mind, because it is associated with other afflictions, so it cannot be established as unmixed. If it is promised that the afflicted mind makes the mind's consciousness afflicted, then it will always be afflicted, because it is associated with the nature of affliction, so generosity and other virtuous minds will not arise. If according to the way in which the afflicted mind that arises together with the virtuous mind exists, then it will be associated with that virtuous mind, but not with others. The consciousness of the afflicted mind also cannot manifest its antidote, if according to the way in which the virtuous mind that arises together with the afflicted mind exists, then because the antidote led by it arises, the discordant aspect will cease, which is reasonable. Even so, because it is associated with afflictions such as the view of the aggregates of destruction other than this, it cannot be established as unmixed.

Isn't it? This is an inconsistent setting. I don't want to be unmixed because I am the same as other afflictions. Then what is it? Because it is something that others do not have. Like the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha. If someone says, "Because it cannot be established as unmixed," that is because it is based on what others have set up, so this fault is stated. Saying "the same as these five" is not an establishment. Then what is it? It is a refutation. Who is the consciousness that is spoken of? If someone admits that "it is the collection of the six consciousnesses," then this contradicts his admission that the five consciousnesses such as eye consciousness and mind consciousness are consistent, because there is no place for simultaneous arising. In other treatises, there is no consciousness that arises simultaneously without a self. Isn't the alaya consciousness a place of simultaneous arising? No, because it is said to be the dominant condition. The alaya consciousness is the causal condition of mind consciousness. Here, it is intended to say that the afflicted mind is the dominant condition. Those who say that any form that exists in the heart is a place of simultaneous arising of mind consciousness, their statement is merely conceptualization. All mind consciousnesses become non-conceptual due to the two conceptualizations of necessary cognition and subsequent recollection, just like the consciousnesses such as eye consciousness that rely on colored roots. "The difference of absorption" refers to the absence of perception and cessation. For those who have afflicted minds, there is an afflicted mind in the absorption of non-perception, and there is none in the absorption of cessation, so the distinction is reasonable. Otherwise, in both, consciousness and feeling cease, and the consciousness of the afflicted mind does not arise universally, so it becomes indistinguishable. The fourth dhyana and the peak of existence are different, and renunciation and the desire to abide in peace are also different, so they will not become different.
