Being free from desire, cultivating the path to enlightenment, observing the truth, individually contemplating dependent origination, having diligence, naturally abiding without characteristics, individually and correctly realizing, the obscuration of knowledge of empowerment, and eliminating these afflictions, etc. The realm of Dharma should be fully understood in ten ways, such as being all-pervasive. The opposing aspects of these ten ways are the ten types of ignorance. In order to eliminate these, one must fully understand the ten. By fully understanding these, one enters the ten bhumis. The stage of knowing the selflessness of phenomena is the bhumis. The first bhumi is to be understood as the meaning of all-pervasive, etc. Because all phenomena are empty, there is no phenomenon that is not empty, thus one enters the first bhumi. The second bhumi is for the sake of the supreme meaning, because this is the most supreme of all phenomena, like the supreme of being free from desire, etc. Thus one enters the second bhumi. The third bhumi is for the supreme meaning of the homogeneous cause, the teachings are the supreme of the homogeneous cause of this, thus one enters the third bhumi. Like this, for the sake of one well-spoken meaning, one completely abandons oneself. The fourth bhumi is for the meaning of not being completely grasped, because this is neither the complete grasping of self nor the complete grasping of others, because of selflessness, one enters the fourth bhumi. In order to dispel attachment to the Dharma of the Sutra Pitaka, etc. The fifth bhumi is for the meaning of not having different entities, just as form, etc., have different entities, this is not like that, thus one enters the fifth bhumi. The sixth bhumi is for the meaning of not being completely defiled and not being completely purified, this nature is not completely defiled, how could it be completely purified? Complete purification is because complete defilement comes first, thus one enters the sixth bhumi. The seventh bhumi is for the meaning of not having various different phenomena, just as these phenomena of the Sutra Pitaka, etc., are various, this is not like that, thus one enters the seventh bhumi. The eighth bhumi is for not decreasing and

The meaning of "without decrease" is that there is no decrease because all dharmas have been cut off. Without remainder means that there is no remaining dwelling place in the dharma. Alternatively, when defilements decrease from all sides, they will not decrease, and when purity increases, it will not increase. Realizing the meaning of the place of mastery over characteristics, and the meaning of the place of mastery over the field, in the realm of dharma, it is realized in the eighth bhumi. Having obtained it, one obtains whatever one desires. Having obtained it, the field appears to be made of gold or whatever else one desires. For the higher bhumis, one must strive to practice abiding in the absence of characteristics. The eighth bhumi is spontaneously accomplished because it depends only on wishes. Thus, one enters the eighth bhumi. The ninth bhumi is for the sake of the meaning of the place of mastery over wisdom. Relying on it, one obtains individual perfect knowledge. One also obtains the perfection of the collection of wisdom, and therefore knows the meaning of not understanding all dharmas literally. In order to fully ripen sentient beings as they are, and to separately experience the joy of fully enjoying the dharma, one enters the ninth bhumi in this way. The tenth bhumi is for the sake of the meaning of the place of mastery over karma, and the meaning of the place of mastery over the doors of dharani and samadhi. Therefore, one obtains the karma of body, speech, and mind as desired. The five kinds of clairvoyance each accomplish their own tasks as they are. Dharani is that which holds any words and meanings, etc. Mastery is mastery over that or being mastered by that, therefore holding all the words and meanings spoken by the Buddha. Mastery over the doors of samadhi is because one has abandoned all the obscurations of entering into samadhi, therefore one can enter into samadhi such as the Treasury of Space as one wishes. The realm of dharma is the meaning of the place of these two masteries, which is fully realized in the tenth bhumi. This ignorance, for the Hearers, is not afflictive, because it is not to be abandoned. Not abandoning it is because it is not the time to enter the place of its antidote, and it does not create obstacles to nirvana. Bodhi
