That is to say, it is giving and so on itself. With giving and so on, faith and so on, the place of virtue, many giving and so on, the good mind arises, these are collected in accordance with it. If you have faith and so on, it is for the sake of entering into transcendence and so on. The aspects of enlightenment and so on, as well as freedom from afflictions and so on, and strength and so on, are collected as its fruit, because it is the fruit of transcendence. As it is said: The earth and the other shore are the abode of the Buddhas. The transformation of the abode is the fruit, which is called the Dharmakaya. It is like what is said. The incompatible aspects of these are stinginess, as well as immoral precepts and anger, as well as laziness, as well as distraction, as well as evil wisdom and so on. With these, how are all the afflictions collected? If you observe, what is said by its nature is stinginess and so on itself. Because it is separated from the things of others, it is collected by its own nature. What is said as its basis is from disbelief and so on up to wrong views and so on, because it is the cause of stinginess and so on. What is said by its fruit is flattery and so on, because it is the fruit of stinginess and so on. In terms of the benefits of transcendence and so on, what is said to collect power is that the benefit of the transcendence of giving is not of an afflicted nature, and there is no fault. The benefit of manifest increase without fault is said to be in harmony with everything. Collecting great birth is the transcendence of morality, because it is a good destination. Collecting many relatives and attendants is the transcendence of patience, relatives are the collection of relatives. Attendants are the collection of male and female servants and so on. Completely holding by accomplishing the combination with the great end of the work is the transcendence of diligence, the end of the great end of the work is the kingdom of the wheel-turning king and so on. Combining with these is extremely diligent. It is accomplished by manifest accomplishment. It is completely held by it because there is no obstacle. Completely holding the seeds of no harm and small afflictions

Patience is the perfection of meditation, because meditation destroys its power. Mastering crafts, treatises, and all fields of knowledge, fully grasping them, without obvious faults, without sin, unlike the obvious faults of worldly people, which are sinful. Although there is no sin, it is not eternally severed. What then? Until abiding in the essence of enlightenment. It is also not like worldly people who only seek their own benefit. What then? It is abiding in benefiting all sentient beings. Each of the perfections should be spoken of in this way, with such distinctions of superiority. Some ask Demapo, saying that the Diamond Sutra and other sutras only speak of one kind of giving, why are all not spoken of? Connecting all the perfections is because these are all manifestations of behavior, so Demapo thinks. For example, the miserly, the wrathful, the lazy, the distracted, the ignorant related to karma and its results, all fall into giving, otherwise they would not. Similarly, abandoning miserliness, anger, laziness, distraction, and wrong views, one enters into discipline, otherwise one would not. Similarly, the other perfections should also be spoken of in this way. It is also said: The mere intention to give eliminates attachment, love eliminates hatred, respect eliminates pride, the envious eliminate through begging and desire, the destitute eliminate by seeing giving as having. And as it is said: When properly distinguishing between Dharma wealth, worldly wealth, and fearlessness, these six perfections are the nature of giving. The cause and effect of entering into the nature of what is to be known have been explained. In order to abandon these perfections that have become the nature of what is to be known as cause and effect, and in order to abandon the ignorance to be abandoned through seeing and cultivation, one must cultivate, therefore one must focus on classifying its cultivation. The so-called ten grounds refer to the actualization, vows, etc. of the Bodhisattvas.
