It is called "is" and so on, just like it is called "lips have differences" and so on. If name and reality become one, then the meaning of ears and so on will be confused, because that is also non-existent, just like what is said is meaningless. Combining that meaningless word is to collect, for the sake of easy understanding and grasping. Just as phenomena are non-existent but also become objects, just as they will not be completely afflicted but also become completely purified, in order to determine this, a verse is spoken, that is, "phenomena are non-existent but are objects" and so on. Just like elephants and so on transformed by illusion and so on, although they do not exist, they appear as real, just as the sky is completely pure, although it will not be afflicted by clouds and so on, but if it is separated from clouds and so on, it is called completely pure. To the question of "why will it not be non-existent in all of everything", "of all" refers to the place of appearance, because it is cut off from the root, so there is no object. "Everywhere" refers to all times. If it is said that "there is no complete establishment", if there is no two, is it not completely established very established? The answer is that self-nature purity is established, but purity without defilement does not exist. The verse has already been explained by that word itself. In order to show by applying sectarian clinging, in order to indicate other freedoms and so on, the question is first raised, and then the names of non-existence and so on are shown. The meaning of the metaphors such as illusion will be explained below. Self-nature purity refers to what the essence of each ordinary person really is. Suchness is unchanging, so it is the common characteristic of all phenomena, relying on it, all sentient beings are the Tathagatagarbha, this is what the scriptures say. Emptiness means without complete imputation. The edge of reality means reaching the end of truth. Signlessness means being separated from all signs such as form. Ultimate reality means that it must be obtained by supreme wisdom. Dharmadhatu means the cause of pure dharmas.

The sound of "ings" here is a word of cause, like the source of gold and so on. The phrase "being completely purified by being without defilement" has already been explained by the words themselves. The path to attain it is called "completely purified," which is for the sake of attaining emptiness, and is synonymous with the path itself being completely purified. Bodhi is the nature of wisdom that is without defilement and without obstruction, having abandoned the obscurations of afflictions and knowledge. To be in accordance with it, there are thirty-seven names such as mindfulness, and in substance there are ten, and the perfections such as wisdom will appear below. To generate it, the term "object of observation being completely purified" is used, where "it" is connected to the path, referring to the aspects of bodhi and so on. The remaining parts, including the two verses, have already been explained by the words themselves. "To avert doubt in error" means to avert doubt in error, that is, how the thought that meaningless conceptualizations will become the object of action. To dispel their doubts, it is like an illusion. Just as there is no elephant in an illusion, but it is an object of observation, even if there is no form, the six sense bases themselves become the object of conceptualization under the control of others. Like a mirage, just as when the mirage of the sun moves, even if there is no water, the thought of water arises, so too is the external world of containers. A dream is the collection of mind and mental factors gathered by sleep. Similar to this, just as it approaches pleasant and unpleasant objects even without the meaning of clothes and so on, so too is the behavior that has not awakened from sleep. Like an image, just as the nature of form appears in mirrors and so on, even if there is no image, one thinks that one sees the image, so too, without abiding, the mind of virtue and non-virtue, relying on the nature of karma, even without it, the result is still accomplished. An eye trick is a game similar to illusion, and similar to this, the various kinds of consciousness that do not abide arise on things that are not its nature and are meaningless.
