Killing and so forth, as well as the complete change of seasons, and the abodes of the realms of desire and so on, all become aspects of consciousness. Combine them as they correspond. In the formless realm, it becomes the discrimination of the aspect of consciousness made by feelings such as pleasure. The so-called discrimination shown by others is the discrimination arising from the cause of encountering superior and non-superior spiritual friends and hearing superior and non-superior Dharma. Therefore, the views of externalists such as Samkhya, and those who have passed into bliss compared to this Dharma, are improper. Because they correspond to correct and incorrect views, they should be combined accordingly. The so-called "proper" is reasoning, and because it contains reasoning, it is "proper." The discrimination arising from the cause of the view of the assembly of destruction, corresponding to the sixty-two views, is the aspect of discrimination on the past, future, and present. As it appears in the Brahma Remembrance Sutra: "Was I something that existed in the past?" and so on. Attachment to views is discrimination itself. The word "gone" means aspect. The so-called distracted discrimination is that which causes distraction, so it is distraction, and that is discrimination. From what does it cause distraction? From non-discriminating wisdom. What is manifested? Because it is the uncommon aspect of the perfection of wisdom. Non-discriminating wisdom is the Prajnaparamita, and if one is attached to it, then it is eliminated by ten types of discrimination. Showing from reality, it is the realization of that one alone, or it is unspeakable. Therefore, the Prajnaparamita always shows the antidote to the ten types of discrimination. For example, how should a Bodhisattva practice the Prajnaparamita? Shariputra, here, although a Bodhisattva is a Bodhisattva, he does not truly see the Bodhisattva. He also does not truly see the name of the Bodhisattva. Prajna Para

One does not truly see going forth. One does not truly see what is called conduct. One does not truly see what is called non-conduct. One does not truly see form. Feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are not truly seen. Why is that? Like this, name is empty of the nature of name. Form is empty of the nature of form. It is not empty by emptiness. Whatever is the emptiness of form is not form. Form is not other than emptiness; form itself is emptiness. Emptiness is form. Why is that? Shariputra, like this, what is called form is just a name. By its nature, it does not arise or cease. It is not completely defiled. It is not completely purified. Because names are artificial, and after examining those dharmas individually, one subsequently applies temporary names. As one subsequently applies names, so one becomes attached. Bodhisattvas do not truly see all of those things in their entirety. Because they do not truly see, there is no attachment. Just as with form, so it should be viewed up to consciousness. To counteract the discursive thoughts of distraction regarding the sign of non-things, it was taught, "The bodhisattva exists in himself," and so forth, because the bodhisattva has the nature of emptiness. To counteract discursive thoughts regarding the sign of things, it was taught, "The bodhisattva does not truly see," and so forth, because there is no nature of complete imputation. To counteract discursive thoughts of superimposition, it was taught, "Like this, name is empty of its nature," and so forth, up to, "It is understood by imputation." To counteract discursive thoughts of denigration, it was taught, "It is not empty by emptiness," because there is the nature of dharma. To negate discursive thoughts of oneness, it was taught, "Whatever is the emptiness of form is not form," and so forth, purity and not

It is for the sake of purity. In order to negate the discrimination arising from individual self-nature, it is said: Form is not other than emptiness, etc. The non-existence of the object of the completely imputed form itself is emptiness, which is a synonym. In order to negate the discrimination of self-nature, it is said: For example, the so-called form is just a name, etc. In order to negate the special discrimination, it is said: Self-nature is neither born nor ceases, etc. In order to negate the discrimination arising from the true meaning like the name, it is said: For false names, after observing those dharmas separately, the name is suddenly applied accordingly. In order to negate the discrimination arising from the name like the meaning, it is said: Bodhisattvas will not truly see all those names accordingly. Because they do not truly see accordingly, there is no manifest attachment, which refers to the meaning as it is. From "these ten distractions" onwards, up to "it is not completely imputed," these words have already been explained with the same words, only the words are different. In order to truly understand that the other-dependent appears as a completely imputed division, but it is not its self-nature, therefore it is said, "There is no wisdom in front of the name." If the other-dependent itself is completely imputed, then even if the name is not mentioned, wisdom about the completely imputed will arise. In any case, if the wisdom that arises in the other-dependent without relying on the name is pacified because of the existence of the object of focus, then it is not existent. Therefore, the other-dependent is contradictory to the self-nature of the completely imputed. The so-called "with many names" refers to the fact that by means of names, the self-nature of the other-dependent is grasped as the meaning itself. One meaning has many names, which arises from the definite combination of sounds, such as walking, patience, earth, and hardness, etc. Since one does not have many self-natures, it is contradictory. Therefore, the other-dependent and the completely imputed cannot become one. The so-called "name is uncertain" is like, for example, wanderers call the ear "name," and call rice "thief."
