It is called "of karma." When it is in accordance with mind, it is like being called "karma of mind." If the consciousness of mind is like that, it will become non-conceptual, just like the consciousness of the eye becomes so by the category of place. Dwelling follows after the place. Like this, when the consciousness of mind arises from the place of all afflictions by the afflicted mind, will it become the nature of being afflicted? The answer is given by "when arising in all supports," etc. The arising of the eye, etc., in all places is birth. Appearing as two with various aspects means that the nature of grasping and discriminating appears as two with various aspects. From the single consciousness, one part will appear as merely meaning, and one part of it will become the aspect of discriminating meaning. Therefore, it will not become the fault of non-conceptual nature. "In the realm of form" means not in the realm of formlessness. Why is that? Because the consciousness of mind abides in the body, and so on. For example, just as the senses such as the eye abide in the body, it means that just as the benefit and harm done by it are also of the body, similarly, in the realm of form, the consciousness of mind abides in the body, so the experience done by it is also of the body. In all places, it also appears to grasp the tangible, and it also arises, which means that it is for the sake of making the samadhi heavy, or for the sake of cutting off the feeling. The scripture spoken by the bodhisattva who speaks alone, such as "who is bodiless," etc. Bodiless means because there is no abdomen. Cave-dwelling means because it is inside. Going far means because it goes to all knowable places. Walking alone, that is the source, because there is no second. Difficult to tame means unruly. Taming means being able to control. The second scripture is also "of these five senses," etc. The object of the field of activity is felt by the mind, which means the synonym of the consciousness of mind. Mind is the reliance of these.

It is because it is accomplished by the power of that. Again, the third source is mentioned. The so-called "the collection of six consciousnesses is the mind-base" is another name for the mind's consciousness-base. Wherever, the so-called "the consciousness of the Alaya consciousness is the establishment of the meaning-consciousness" is another name for saying that it is the cause of the meaning-consciousness, so it is established as such. The so-called "other than that" refers to the consciousnesses of the body and so on. The so-called cause is the object of perception, because it is pure. The so-called "the consciousness of the mind's consciousness together with the support" is to say together with the immediately past mind and afflictions, because those two are the place of generation and pervasive defilement. Seeing is because of discrimination. The so-called "is the cause of the arising of that view" is to say that the Alaya consciousness is the cause of the various arising of that view. The consciousnesses of the eye and so on appear as meaning, it is the view of the mind's consciousness, and it is the function of the support of the arising of the root consciousness. Also, in order to show the meaninglessness, other scriptures and reasonings are stated, such as "Bodhisattvas possess four qualities" and so on. The object of the cause of contradictory consciousnesses that do not agree with each other is the cause of the arising of consciousness, because external objects cannot become the cause, so knowing that, one should know it as meaningless. Hungry ghosts and animals and humans, etc., for example, in a certain river, hungry ghosts, due to the power of the maturation of their own karma, see it filled with pus, etc., while animals, fish, etc., abide with the thought of drinking and being a dwelling. People think of it as clear, trustworthy, and cool water and bathe, drink, and enter. The gods who enter the sphere of infinite space see the sky, because the perception of form is destroyed. It is unreasonable for one thing to produce many consciousnesses that do not agree with each other, such as that river is both pus
