Because it is extremely pure. This is a concluding remark. Because there is no simultaneous arising and ceasing, just like incompatible opposing sides, light and darkness. This shows that it cannot serve as the characteristic of a seed. The following refers to the path of meditation after the path of seeing. "Having passed for a long time," etc., are merely conjunctions. The position of the Vaibhashikas regarding attainment has already been refuted by the Sutrantikas themselves, so it cannot serve as a refuge. Because it is close, it is considered from the perspective of the Sutrantikas and analysis. But even that has the fault of not being able to establish habitual tendencies. Therefore, if there is no Alaya-vijnana, the pervasive afflictions of the afflictions are impossible. This is a conclusion determined by the impossibility of it being otherwise. Because actions as a condition cannot give rise to consciousness. This is to say that for the consciousness entering the womb, the pervasive afflictions of karma are impossible. If there is no Alaya-vijnana, if it is thought that eye-consciousness, etc., arise simultaneously with desire, etc., and are produced by actions as a condition, that is also impossible. Because there is the statement, "Consciousness conditions name and form." Eye-consciousness, etc., are momentary in nature, so because they have ceased for a long time, they cannot serve as the condition for name and form, and there will be many faults. Because of fear of this fault, if it is thought that there is a consciousness that connects the continuum, that is also impossible. Because at the time of the consciousness connecting the continuum, merit, non-merit, and unwavering actions have ceased for a long time. It is also not reasonable for it to arise from those that have ceased. Because it possesses subsequent attachment and anger, the mind connecting the continuum is not neutral. Vipaka is neutral, so it cannot have action as its condition. If the consciousness entering the womb, which is associated with actions, creates habitual tendencies on the Alaya-vijnana, that is impossible. If there is no Alaya-vijnana, existence conditioned by grasping is also impossible. Having said that.

Karma is the abode of habits, it is the karma that tends to mature, or obtaining entry is existence, but it is not the consciousness that connects the self. If the consciousness completely perfumed by actions is unreasonable, then when the production of fruit tends to mature, where does the karma reside and become existence? Therefore, if there is no Alaya consciousness, the pervasive afflictions of karma are also not possible. Now, because the connection of connecting the self is unreasonable, etc., it shows that for other consciousnesses, the pervasive afflictions of birth are impossible. From the unequal dwelling place, it refers to the desire realm. Died and transferred refers to death. Dwelling in the intermediate state of mind refers to the mind dwelling in the intermediate state between the two states of death and birth. The consciousness of mind refers to the other consciousnesses that have ceased at that time and are long-lasting. Having afflictions means being inverted because of having subsequent attachment and anger. Connecting the self means the one who is connecting the self. It is related to birth, that is, holding the body, which is said to be mixed with the same pleasure and then becomes blurred. It refers to being dependent on the existence of birth. In the intermediate existence, it ceases, because if it does not cease, the existence of birth is impossible. Consciousness also becomes blurred in the mother's womb, called fainting, which means that at the same time as it ceases now, it is formed together with semen and blood, mixed with the same pleasure, and then becomes blurred. As the Blessed One said: Kundgawo, if consciousness does not enter the mother's womb, then blurring will not become blurring. If the consciousness of mind itself faints, it means it is not Alaya consciousness. Fainting refers to the matured birth, relying on it, other beliefs and attachments are the same, having good and bad, and experiencing feelings of pleasure and pain, having discrimination.

Then, subsequent states of consciousness will arise. Therefore, it is impossible to think that two consciousnesses enter the womb at the same time, which is a fundamental mistake. Because the substance of sentient beings does not depend on manifestation at that time, but belongs to the nature of Vipaka, is not predicted, the object and form are not completely absent, corresponding to equanimity, the state of fainting, and others that depend on it to manifest, not the nature of Vipaka, the object and form are completely absent, the mind consciousness corresponding to the feeling of happiness and pain. This is contrary to the scriptures, so it is not accepted. You say that it is impossible for two consciousnesses to arise without sequence, there is no chance, etc. These two cannot be one either, because their nature is different. If Vipaka is cut off, then the continuation of life will also be cut off. If there is no Vipaka, then samsara will not exist either. The fainting mind consciousness cannot be the mind consciousness itself, because it is always in a state of affliction, which is a mistake of commitment, indicating that the nature of Dharma is contrary to itself. If it is certain that both are mind consciousness, then it will not always be in a state of affliction, like the mind consciousness that arises in subsequent times. All connecting minds are completely in a state of affliction, because the intermediate state contains the existence of the next life, so it is always in a state of affliction. In this way, because it transcends the nature of mind consciousness, it cannot be mind consciousness. Or, corresponding to the four afflictions, being in a state of affliction, therefore the connecting mind will become an afflicted mind. Because it belongs to Vipaka, it is also considered unpredicted. It is thought that the afflicted mind has been proven. Vipaka itself is also denied, and it is not just the mind consciousness that is denied.
