It is for the sake of abiding. The flexible consideration in translation refers to where the meaning of a word is expressed in another way, and that meaning itself is shown in another way. For example, "Knowing what is without essence as essence, abiding greatly in perversion, afflicting completely, extremely afflicting, one will attain supreme enlightenment." Among these, "without essence" refers to samadhi, and being without distraction is "without essence." To this, the arising of the guru's wisdom is "knowing as essence." "Abiding greatly in perversion" refers to abiding greatly in what is inconsistent, and the synonym for what is impermanent is permanent. Whatever is perverse is the impermanence that is the opposite of permanence, and abiding greatly in this is a synonym. "Afflicting completely, extremely afflicting," affliction is fatigue, and therefore, for a long time, one is extremely afflicted for the benefit of sentient beings. No matter how afflicted, one abides in samsara for a long time, as it is said. The meaning of the phrase "one will attain supreme enlightenment" is easy to understand. All dharmas arise from the habits of speech, and from those themselves, for "from the habits of speech," the habits of conceptualization and external objects are universally present in the alaya consciousness. What arises from that habit is all dharmas, which is the nature of the entering consciousness. The so-called "from those themselves" means that the habits of conceptualization also arise from the cause of dharmas, which is a synonym. Therefore, it shows that the alaya consciousness and the entering consciousness are mutually causal. Those dharmas that are the characteristics of the entering consciousness are the nature of consciousness with reason and view, meaning that whatever consciousness has reason and view is its nature. Those characteristics also have three types, namely the characteristic of abiding, which is the characteristic of other-powered nature. What is shown in this way is the characteristic of the three natures. Those meanings are also shown by half a verse: from reason and view, one should know that those are the three characteristics, as it is said.

It should be done. The invisibility or visibility of those two, or the simultaneity of not seeing the suchness and seeing the suchness, is called that the two are merely the parikalpita and the parinispanna. One of those two is non-existent, and the second is existent, therefore it is said that those two are non-existent and existent, because for those who have not seen the suchness, the parikalpita is visible, but the parinispanna is not visible. At that time, for those who see the suchness, the parikalpita is invisible, but the parinispanna is visible. Showing those meanings with verses is: In other-powered, there is no imputed. Etc. are mentioned, therefore in that the two are equal. Called equal is the same time. In that is called in other-powered. The two are called seeing the suchness and not seeing the suchness, etc. Therefore, it is called the synonym for because of that reason, thus in other-powered, the parikalpita is non-existent, and the parinispanna is the meaning of existent. In order to show the meaning of the words of fear for the inverted clinging of children, the remaining part of the words correctly shows that in that there are no two kinds of pervasiveness, called in this there are no two kinds of pervasiveness, therefore that in this there is no pervasiveness, such as the wisdom of the hearers and solitary Buddhas, etc., is the meaning of having obscuration and not having obscuration. The nature of non-existence of the two, existence and non-existence, is extremely pure, the suchness of purity is the dharma of no characteristics, because temporarily in this there is no nature of things, thus all dharmas are non-existent. It is also not the nature of non-existence, because it abides in the self-nature of things. Because of realizing the extremely pure dharma of no characteristics, therefore it is the merit of passing away in the extremely pure suchness, because it is superior and realized, therefore it is superior and passed away, passing away is called the meaning of going, because it is the synonym of going. The merit of the Buddha's deeds being spontaneously accomplished and constantly abiding without interruption.
