Thus it is shown. As an example of a mirage, because the container world (referring to the material world inhabited by sentient beings) is also similar to it, like a mirage. Although it does not exist, due to thirst, people mistake it for water. As an example of a dream, it is the antidote to the close acquisition (referring to the direct cause of producing a certain result) of form, etc. Therefore, like a dream, although these forms, etc., do not exist, the close acquisition of liking and disliking arising from them is also revealed in the same way. As an example of an image, it similarly reveals the method of counteracting bodily actions. Therefore, bodily actions, whether virtuous or non-virtuous, depend on it, and from it arises an image of form different from it, thus it is proclaimed. As an example of a valley echo, it reveals the method of counteracting verbal actions. Therefore, from the cause of verbal actions itself, the result of verbal actions is revealed by it as being like a valley echo. There are three kinds of mental actions: the action of meditative equipoise, the action of following hearing, and the action of following desire. For the action of not entering meditative equipoise, it is revealed by the example of eye disease. Therefore, the so-called "like eye disease" reveals the result of mental action. For the antidote to the mental action of entering meditative equipoise, the example of the moon in water is used. Therefore, through the action of entering meditative equipoise, the mental action is revealed as being like the moon in water. For the antidote to the mental action of following hearing, the example of illusion is used. Among them, following hearing means being accustomed through hearing and thinking. Therefore, the operation of the mind that follows hearing is revealed as being like magic. If asked: How do the characteristics of the three natures of Dharma conform to what is said in the sutras? Now, in order to reveal this, in the Brahma's Request Sutra, from what did the Bhagavan consider, and the Tathagata proclaimed that "Samsara is also unattainable, Nirvana is also unattainable"? This is because it is proclaimed from the consideration that there is no difference between Samsara and Nirvana themselves. Other-powered nature is not Samsara, because it can become Nirvana. The Dharma of the completely imputed is also not Nirvana, because it is Samsara. Therefore, it cannot be said that they are the same.

Because it is observed that the distinctive nature of entering into oneness does not exist, therefore neither samsara nor nirvana is attainable, which is what is spoken there based on that intention. Similarly, the nature of the thoroughly imputed is complete defilement. The nature of the perfectly established is complete purification. Other-powered nature is not the nature of those two. Based on this intention, the Sutra of the Abhidharma teaches that there are three kinds of phenomena: those belonging to the category of complete defilement, those belonging to the category of complete purification, and those belonging to both of them. This is also taught by the example of the earth with a golden essence, where the so-called "gold in the earth" is the seed of gold. The element of earth is hardness itself. Earth is the form of near dependence, whatever the color of the earth is. These three are the objects of near perception. Gold appears as the earth itself. The knowledge of it as gold itself will occur later, when it is combined with fire, it will appear as gold itself. Therefore, it will be established as existence itself. The verses of meaning are: How are phenomena not existent, How do they appear in many forms. Corresponding to this in order are: Thus, neither phenomena nor non-phenomena. That is, by what cause and why it does not exist, therefore phenomena are not existent, and by what cause it appears, therefore non-phenomena are also not non-existent, but are phenomena, this is the concluding word. Therefore, Thus, neither phenomena nor non-phenomena, Non-duality is shown as duality, Partially, that is, by one side. Non-existence and existence are things and non-things. Well shown means explained. The part of both is not existent, Nor is it non-existent, it is said, This is because, holding the other-powered nature that has the nature of both, it is shown as existence and non-existence themselves. How it appears, so it is non-existent, This is how it is perceived, so it is non-existent, therefore it is said to be non-existent. Why does it appear like that, For this, because it exists only as appearance, it is said to be existent, therefore it is said to be existent.
