If considering from the aspect of [emptiness], the way to show the absence of inherent existence is: In the [verse] called "Self," it says, "Because self does not arise without a cause." This is one understanding of the absence of inherent existence. The [verse] called "Because all dharmas are without self," its meaning is: If something ceases, it will not become its own self, therefore it is also without inherent existence. "Because it does not abide in its own nature," means that just after arising, it will not remain in the next moment, because it cannot remain, so it is also without inherent existence. Such an understanding is the absence of inherent existence of all dharmas common to the Shravaka and Hinayana. The [verse] called "Because it is not as it is grasped, it is not there," this is not common to the Shravaka. Because the imputed nature that children grasp does not exist, therefore from this perspective, the Mahayana considers that all dharmas are without inherent existence. The way in which all dharmas are established as without inherent existence is: through non-arising, etc. Because whatever is without inherent existence is unborn. Whatever is unborn is unceasing. Whatever is unborn and unceasing is primordially peaceful. Whatever is primordially peaceful is naturally in Nirvana. "Relying on later and later," means that the later and later [dharma] is the essence of the cause. The understanding of equality is: Some people think about the dharmata of equality, saying, "What is it, that is me; what is me, that is it." Similarly, the Blessed One also considered the sameness of the Dharmakaya, therefore he proclaimed "Speech is at that time, at that time," and so on. But not all manifestations are Shakyamuni Buddha himself. This is the understanding of equality. The understanding of other times is: those who are diligent practice this Dharma in this expedient way. This is considering that the root of virtue arising from remembering the name of the Tathagata Prabhutaratna will become the cause for them to attain special achievements, and not just remembering the name itself can determine [liberation].

will become, and will not attain unsurpassed Bodhi. For example, what does it mean to say "one class becomes a thousand classes"? It means that within a day, or at another time, the one class itself becomes the cause of a thousand classes. It should be understood in the same way that merely making aspirations will lead to rebirth in the Pure Land of Bliss. Another meaning is that one can comprehend the meaning of the Mahayana Dharma, but not comprehend the meaning of the three natures. If the Blessed One thinks that understanding the meaning as it is in the literal sense can also lead to realization by doing this, then the meaning of this thought is not because of serving many Buddhas. The so-called "according to the thoughts of sentient beings" means that some people are praised for giving, while others are not. This is according to the thoughts of sentient beings. For the miserly, giving is praised; for those who are happy to give, it is not praised. Therefore, without this thought, praising and not praising giving would be contradictory. It is because of this thought that one can understand praising and not praising giving. Similarly, one should also look at the precepts and so on. Some meditations refer to worldly meditations. If you ask, what is the difference between definitive and non-definitive meanings? What the Blessed One said to keep in mind is the definitive meaning. What one enters into with certainty is the non-definitive meaning. Among them, the non-definitive meaning of abiding refers to where it is said for the sake of sentient beings abiding in the nature of people and Dharma, especially in the way of conventional truth, is the non-definitive meaning of abiding. The non-definitive meaning of characteristics refers to where the characteristics of Dharma are proclaimed, and there the three natures are revealed. The non-definitive meaning of the antidote refers to where the antidote to the behavior of sentient beings is shown, sentient beings for the antidote to afflictions
