It will also not be separated from it. Since the mind that enters into this state is virtuous, therefore, if it corresponds to the roots of virtue such as non-attachment, even the unwanted will be obtained. But this is not the case, because all the other characteristics of the virtuous mind will also become like that. Since there is also nothing in the non-virtuous and the unspecified, it is also unreasonable in the non-virtuous and the unspecified. Because at the time of being free from desire, all the roots of non-virtue have been abandoned, therefore it is not non-virtuous. Entering into meditation is virtuous, so it is not unspecified. Therefore, it is also not virtuous, because it would lead to the universal experience of feelings and sensations, because without the root of virtue, there is no virtue itself. Just as universally experiencing the root of virtue, one would also experience feelings and sensations, because there is no difference in the cause. Therefore, this is how it should be: when experiencing incompatible aspects, there is no antidote aspect. Just as when desire and so on manifest, there is no contemplation of impurity and so on. Therefore, there is no other mind from there. If, like this, there is another mind besides the alaya consciousness, then contact would become an object, and one would also universally experience virtue, just like other states of meditation, this is the remaining part. Therefore, if there is a characteristic of the entering consciousness when entering into meditation, then, because it is extremely pliable arising from samadhi, it will not abandon the touch of pleasant feeling that has characteristics, or the touch of painful feeling. Therefore, from those causes, happiness will arise, as well as feelings that are neither pleasant nor painful. Why is that? Because one is able to enter into meditation by relying on it. Just as it is seen that there is the power to generate those feelings in other characteristics of meditation, here too, if the cause of contact, that is, the cause that connects one's own limits, generates feelings, this is reasonable. It would become merely the interruption of consciousness, because by admitting the disappearance of contact, it would become merely the interruption of consciousness for it. But this is not the case, because the sutras say that both will be interrupted.

Therefore, establishing a sect is not allowed. If there is contact that is simultaneously associated with other consciousnesses and this consciousness, then roots of virtue such as faith will universally arise. Therefore, since contact associated with consciousness arises, the mental factor that arises simultaneously with it also exists, as it is said, the mental factor will also necessarily arise. If the mental factor arises, then the virtuous mind is the manifest creation, therefore, the universal conduct of roots of virtue such as faith will also arise. If that is the case, that is not desired. If, in order to eliminate the faults mentioned above, and in order to eliminate contradictions, and in order to refute with this, because it is a mental factor, therefore abandoning the mental factor and only acknowledging mind-only, that is also not allowed, because the dependent and the depended-upon are inseparable. The dependent is mind-only, the depended-upon is the mental factor. The dependent and the depended-upon, these mental factors, have not been mutually absent since beginningless samsara, therefore they operate in the same way at all times, so the dependent and the depended-upon cannot be separated even with effort. Why? Because there is an example. Whatever dependent that operates together at all times, that is not something that can be separated from the dependent, because if they are not mutually absent in terms of arising and operating, it is like something transformed from the earth element. Similarly, mental factors cannot be separated from mind-only, therefore it is unreasonable. Furthermore, the depended-upon cannot be separated from the dependent, because perception and feeling etc. will become its dissimilar, because it is a refutation, so there is no universal conduct, and it is not something other than that, because it is unreasonable. What is the reason? Because it is the nature of universal pervasion, therefore it is not like that without it, and also others apart from that, with the same aspect, because there is no cause of distinction for that other, so if it becomes without universal conduct, that is not desired, because it contradicts what is seen. The examination of meditative absorption with mind is complete. Now, the meaning of any two aspects will be explained, any meditative absorption that can prevent is the mind of consciousness and
