When the unmoved formations arise and cease, if the ālaya-vijñāna does not exist, where will the latent impressions be stored? If the six consciousnesses do not hold latent impressions, then it has already been established that the afflictions of the pervasive afflictions of the afflictions were previously taught. "If it does not exist" means that consciousness does not exist due to the cause of formations. Desire is also not possible due to the cause of taking, because the consciousness that is completely matured by formations, due to the power of taking, the latent impressions increase, so existence arises. Among them, karma itself is a pervasive affliction, that is, the pervasive affliction of karma, or the pervasive affliction arising from karma is the pervasive affliction of karma, if the ālaya-vijñāna does not exist, that is also impossible. If so, how is pervasive affliction impossible? In order to explain this. "Because it is impossible to connect and transfer oneself," that is, it is also impossible to obtain the object of self. "From the non-equipoised ground" means from the desire realm. "The deceased transferred" means death. "By the afflicted consciousness" means the consciousness with afflictions. "Connecting and transferring oneself" means completely holding the object of self. That is, the afflicted consciousness focuses on the existence of birth, then the intermediate existence will cease. "Fainting in that" means that consciousness is formed together with semen and blood, and becomes one happiness, relying on that consciousness fainting, another consciousness will enter. "Together" means at the same time, that consciousness fainting and that which possesses consciousness. "Why is that?" Because it is always in a state of affliction, consciousness is the place of the afflicted consciousness of afflictions such as desire, focusing on the existence to be born, the place of this afflicted consciousness, so this is the place of affliction. In the state where the ripened result is not shown, the place of affliction is

Impossible. The so-called "object of consciousness is not an object" means that consciousness dwells near the object. For example, Dharma. For a person who has fainted, there is no object, so this cannot be consciousness. The so-called "self-connection is completed" means completely obtaining one's own body. The "other" that appears after that means other than the Alaya consciousness. The other six consciousnesses are because they are each in their own position and can move. Just as eye consciousness dwells in its respective position, so do the remaining ear consciousnesses, etc., and the colored roots such as the ears are the support. Therefore, if those consciousnesses each take their own position, and those consciousnesses are extinguished, then the eyes, etc. that are obtained will rot. Just as the consciousness that is not Alaya consciousness and name and form exist in a mutually dependent manner like a spear and a house, that is also not possible. It should be explained how it is not possible, as the World Honored One said, name and form are conditioned by consciousness, and consciousness is also conditioned by name and form. Name is conditioned by consciousness, that is, the collection of consciousness. It is said that those are the four formless aggregates. Form is soft. The so-called consciousness is conditioned by name and form is nothing other than Alaya consciousness, because it relies on name and form and exists continuously from one moment to the next. It should be explained that consciousness cannot be food for others. The World Honored One said that there are four kinds of food, namely, edible food, contact, intention, and consciousness. Among them, edible food is when it is digested, because when it is digested, it helps the support. Contact food is related to the object, and merely seeing objects such as form can generate help for the support. Intentional food is when it is related to thinking.
