The practice of austerity is: in order to connect with those Buddhas who dwell in complete liberation from all obscurations, accomplishing all the benefits of all sentient beings spontaneously until the end of samsara. Regarding the practice of understanding the difficult, the Buddhas contemplated and spoke. So, how do they understand it? For example, how can a Bodhisattva be generous? If one does not begrudge even a little generosity and enters into the immeasurable act of giving in the ten directions. How is it that one desires to give? If one does not crave all giving. How is it that one is devoted to giving? If one does not go with faith in the Tathagatas. How is it that one enters into giving? If one does not enter into giving oneself, but giving is one's very nature, that is the definition. How is it that one rejoices in giving? If one does not give anything many times. How is it that one is great in giving? If one arises with the thought that giving has no essence. How is it that giving is pure? If stinginess arises. How is it that giving is complete? If one does not abide at the edge. How is it that one is the master of giving? If one is not the controller of giving. How is it that giving is inexhaustible? If one does not abide in the inexhaustible. Just as with giving, so too should one understand accordingly with discipline and so forth up to wisdom. How is it that one kills? If beings are completely reversed from samsara. How is it that one takes what is not given? If without being given by anyone, one takes all sentient beings oneself. How is it that one engages in sexual misconduct? If one engages in misconduct with desires. How is it that one speaks falsely? If one speaks of what is false as false. How is it that one has wrong views? If one sees as it is the wrong view that exists in everything and abides in everything. How is it that one speaks harsh words? If one abides on the other shore of what is to be known. How is it?

If it is said to be speaking nonsense, it is speaking after correctly distinguishing all dharmas. If it is said to be a greedy person, it is constantly making oneself attain the supreme samadhi. If it is said to be endowed with a mind of harming others, it is said that this person has harmed all things that disturb the mind. If it is said to be a person with wrong views, it is seeing the wrong views that reside in everything as they are. As for saying that the Buddha's teachings are profound, what is profound about the Buddha's teachings? The permanent dharmas mentioned here are the Buddha's teachings, because the Dharmakaya is permanent. The dharmas of cessation are the Buddha's teachings, because all obscurations have been cut off. The dharmas of arising are the Buddha's teachings, because the Nirmanakaya arises. The dharmas of object are the Buddha's teachings, because they are aimed at cutting off the antidotes to the eighty-four thousand behaviors of sentient beings. The dharmas with attachment are the Buddha's teachings, because sentient beings with attachment affirm themselves. Similarly, the dharmas with hatred are the Buddha's teachings, the dharmas with ignorance are the Buddha's teachings. The dharmas of ordinary beings should also be regarded as the Buddha's teachings. The undefiled dharmas are the Buddha's teachings, because the ultimate Suchness is not defiled by all defilements. The dharmas without near defilement are the Buddha's teachings, because even though born in the world, they are not nearly defiled by worldly dharmas. Therefore, the Buddha's teachings are called profound. In order to practice the Paramitas, in order to fully ripen sentient beings, in order to fully purify the Buddha-fields, and in order to accomplish all the Buddha's teachings, one should observe the various distinctions of the activities of the Bodhisattva's samadhis. Having thus explained the distinctions of higher mind, how should one observe the distinctions of higher wisdom? It is the nature of non-conceptual wisdom.

Location, basis, object, aspect, the answer that transcends, support, friend, maturation, corresponding cause, definite emergence, ultimate going, arising from application, non-conceptualization, benefit obtained afterwards, well-differentiated, non-conceptualization, metaphor obtained afterwards, accomplishing what is to be spontaneously accomplished, even with profoundness, non-conceptual wisdom should be regarded as a distinction of superior wisdom. Among them, what is abandoned by five aspects is called the nature of non-conceptual wisdom, namely, completely abandoning non-attention, and completely abandoning the state of being extremely beyond the ground of being with conceptualization and with examination, and completely abandoning the near pacification of the cessation of perception and feeling, and completely abandoning the nature of form, and because of completely abandoning the grasping of clarity in the meaning of only that, therefore, it should be known that non-conceptual wisdom is the complete abandonment of these five aspects. Here, the establishment of non-conceptual wisdom as explained is in verses: Bodhisattvas should know, the nature of non-conceptualization, the five aspects are completely abandoned, and there is no grasping of clarity in the true meaning. Bodhisattvas should know, the location of non-conceptualization, the non-mind mind is just that, not thinking about the meaning arises from the cause. Bodhisattvas should know, the basis of non-conceptualization, with the habit of hearing and with speech, that attention is proper attention. Bodhisattvas should know, the object of non-conceptualization, the nature of all phenomena being unspeakable, selflessness is also suchness. Bodhisattvas should know, the aspect of non-conceptualization, on that nature of the object of knowledge, whatever is without characteristics is that. The nature arising from application, is not different from that which is distinguished, because letters connect with each other, that meaning is arising from application. Without speech, to what is to be spoken, the entry of consciousness is not possible, because of contradiction, it is not speech, therefore everything is unspeakable. Non-conceptual wisdom, bodhisattvas after that, obtain.
