What is a bhumi? It is for completely cutting off the defilement of broken precepts. Why is the third bhumi called the Illuminating One? Because it is a place where samadhi and equanimity do not decline, it becomes a place of great manifestation of Dharma. Why is the fourth bhumi called the Radiant One? Because the dharmas of the wings of enlightenment burn all obscurations. Why is the fifth bhumi called the Very Difficult to Train? Because the two wisdoms of truth and the worldly are mutually contradictory, it is easy to accomplish. Why is the sixth bhumi called Manifest? Because it is a place of knowing dependent origination, it manifests abiding in the perfection of wisdom. Why is the seventh bhumi called Gone Afar? Because it goes to the limit of conduct arising from practice. Why is the eighth bhumi called Immovable? Because it is not moved by all signs and manifestations. Why is the ninth bhumi called Good Intelligence? Because it obtains the first individual self-aware wisdom. Why is the tenth bhumi called Cloud of Dharma? Because it knows all dharmas focused on mixing, having all the doors of dharani and samadhi within, like a cloud covering obscurations as vast as the sky, and having perfected the Dharmakaya. How are these bhumis obtained? They are viewed in four ways: by obtaining aspiration, one has aspiration for the bhumi itself. By obtaining conduct, one obtains the ten conducts that are fully in accordance with the bhumi. By obtaining realization, one realizes the dharmadhatu on the first bhumi, and thus realizes everything. By obtaining accomplishment, one goes to the end of the practice of these bhumis. How should the practice of these bhumis be viewed? Here, when a bodhisattva practices shamatha and vipashyana on the bhumis, they practice in five ways. What are the five? They are: practicing mixing, practicing without signs, practicing spontaneous accomplishment, practicing blazing, and practicing without holding to satisfaction. With these five practices, bodhisattvas manifest and accomplish five fruits.

It can cause destruction. Thus, moment by moment, all the evil destinies can cause the destruction of all places. Separated from all kinds of perceptions, one obtains joy in the joy of Dharma. In the manifestation of all Dharmas, immeasurable and completely without deficiency, one knows it as it is. And in the undifferentiated, the characteristics corresponding to the extremely pure part, those that are not differentiated, all arise in it. For the sake of perfecting and accomplishing the Dharmakaya, one can hold the cause that is more superior than the previous one. Mainly, in the ten Bhumis, one will practice the ten Paramitas. In the six Bhumis, it is the six Paramitas as previously stated. In the latter four Bhumis, there are four Paramitas, namely the skillful means Paramita, which means accumulating roots of virtue with the six Paramitas, making it common with all sentient beings, for the sake of dedicating it to the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. The aspiration Paramita means manifesting and accomplishing various aspirations in the latter, for the sake of gathering the conditions of the Paramitas. The power Paramita means constantly and continuously practicing the six Paramitas with the power of individual discernment and meditation. The wisdom Paramita means skillfully establishing the six Paramitas, experiencing and enjoying the Dharma with wisdom, and for the sake of maturing sentient beings. Furthermore, these four Paramitas are not that one does not practice all Prajnaparamita, but one should see that they are held by the wisdom of Dharma. In all the Bhumis, it is not that one does not practice all the Paramitas, but because of the category of Dharma, it is held by the collection of Paramitas. In how much time will the practice of these ten Bhumis be completed? The five types of individuals can complete it in three countless eons, namely the believing practitioner can complete it in the first countless eon. Those who practice with pure superior intention, those who practice with characteristics, and those who practice without characteristics, can complete it in the six Bhumis and the seventh Bhumi in the second countless eon.
