Because it is done by action, these causes of benefit can make sentient beings fully mature and become a feasible task. After that, in order to liberate the unequal mind and the equal mind, the teachings to be imparted will be fully matured. Therefore, in accordance with the complete maturation of all sentient beings, the arrangement of numbers should be observed. So, how should we view the nature of these? It should be observed with six perfections: The perfect place is because it is the place of the mind of enlightenment. The perfect object is because it is all-encompassing. The perfect purpose is because it is for the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings. The perfect skillful means is because it is completely grasped by non-conceptual wisdom. The perfect dedication is because it is dedicated to the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. The perfect purity is because it is truly accomplished without being obscured by afflictions and cognitive obscurations. Is whatever is giving also a pāramitā? Is whatever is a pāramitā also giving? The answer is: some are giving, but not pāramitā, which is a fourfold distinction. Just as it is with giving, the remaining pāramitās should also be observed according to the fourfold distinction as appropriate. Why is this order of pāramitās taught? Because the previous pāramitās are in accordance with the arising of the subsequent ones. How should we view the meaning of these words? Because they surpass all the virtues of worldly beings, śrāvakas, and pratyekabuddhas, such as giving, and go to the other shore, therefore they are pāramitās. Because it destroys stinginess and poverty, and obtains great enjoyment and accumulation of merit, it is giving. Because it pacifies immoral discipline and the lower realms, and obtains good realms and samādhi, it is discipline. Because it exhausts anger and resentment, and brings happiness to oneself and others, it is patience. Because it separates from laziness and sinful non-virtuous dharmas, and increases immeasurable virtuous dharmas to the ultimate end.

Therefore, it is diligence. Eliminating distraction and accomplishing the abiding of the mind within, therefore it is contemplation. Eliminating all wrong views and impure wisdom, and correctly and completely understanding all phenomena in every aspect, therefore it is wisdom. How should these meditations be viewed? In short, meditation should be viewed in five ways: the practice of applying oneself to all conduct is meditation, faith is meditation, attention is meditation, skillful means is meditation, and accomplishing activities is meditation. Among these, the first four meditations are the same as before. The meditation of accomplishing activities is: when the activities of the Buddhas are naturally accomplished and never cease, at the time of the perfection of the perfections, it is the meditation of the perfections. The meditation of attention is: experiencing taste, rejoicing, attending to joy, the thought of non-satisfaction, the thought of longevity, the thought of joy, the thought of benefiting, the thought of great self, the thought of virtue, meditating by being completely embraced by six thoughts. If a Bodhisattva, with countless eons, unsurpassed perfect

This is his long-lasting thought, not abandoning the thought of never being satisfied in his heart. The Bodhisattva is very happy to benefit sentient beings with the six perfections, but sentient beings do not see it that way, this is the Bodhisattva's joyful thought. The Bodhisattva sees all those sentient beings who have been benefited by the six perfections as being of great help to me, but I do not see these sentient beings that way, this is the Bodhisattva's thought of bestowing kindness. The Bodhisattva thus dedicates all the desired fruits to sentient beings by accumulating the roots of virtue with the six perfections, this is the Bodhisattva's thought of great self-nature. The Bodhisattva thus shares the roots of virtue accumulated by the six perfections with all sentient beings, and completely dedicates them to the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, this is the Bodhisattva's virtuous thought, cultivating the taste of being completely embraced by these six thoughts through mindfulness. Furthermore, the Bodhisattva rejoices in the roots of virtue of other immeasurable Bodhisattvas who have entered the practice of cultivating the six thoughts, and thus the Bodhisattva cultivates mindfulness of rejoicing completely embraced by the six thoughts. Furthermore, the Bodhisattva is very happy about all sentient beings cultivating the six perfections completely embraced by the six thoughts, and about his own diligent cultivation of the six perfections completely embraced by the six thoughts, until he abides in the essence of Bodhicitta, and thus the Bodhisattva cultivates mindfulness of joy completely embraced by the six thoughts. Those who hear the Bodhisattva's mindfulness cultivation completely embraced by the six thoughts, even if they generate a single thought of initial faith, they will generate immeasurable merit, and all the obscurations of their misdeeds will also be destroyed, what need is there to mention Bodhisattvas? These chapters of the perfections
