By dwelling in (discipline) and confessing the committed sins, and vowing not to commit them again in the future, one will also accomplish benefit and happiness, which is what is meant by benefit and happiness. For others who have not committed offenses, this will also become a cause for benefit and happiness, because after hearing this, they will be even more cautious in guarding the precepts and will not easily violate them, thereby bringing them benefit and happiness. There are also two types of expulsion: non-permanent expulsion refers to allowing return after a certain period; permanent expulsion refers to abandoning forever and not allowing entry again, because their bad behavior has made them unqualified. In the first case, doing so is beneficial and happy for themselves and others, because it is the reason for not making mistakes in the future; in the second case, others will be more cautious in guarding the precepts. Therefore, it is said, "Whoever is expelled without being allowed to return..." because one's own downfall will also lead to the downfall of others. It was precisely in consideration of these meanings that the Blessed One said, "Eradicate the decay that is like weeds!" Weeds grow like rice seedlings at the same time, and if they are not eradicated, they will cause all the rice seedlings to decay; if they are eradicated, all the rice seedlings will grow vigorously. Similarly, this (violation of discipline) should also be understood in the same way. One must have two qualities to fully mature oneself: the power of ability and the power of practice. From the first condition, it is said, "Also teaches the corresponding Dharma," meaning having the ability to teach the Dharma. To explain the second condition, it is said, "Acts as he speaks," meaning that one's words are consistent with one's actions, and one follows the Dharma that one speaks, which is called following the Dharma. Only in this way can it be consistent with the meaning, otherwise it will not be consistent. It is said, "Acts in accordance with it," if one acts inconsistently with the Dharma one speaks, one will become a laughingstock for others, and no one will respect his words. It is said, "In order for others to say this..." etc., oneself is also

If he is a mute, how can he cause others to mature? Therefore, it will be taught in this way. Entrusting to others means entrusting to those others who possess the ability to grasp words and who fully possess the two elements known as the position of a lama. Therefore, it is said: For sentient beings, one should entrust to those whom most people love and respect. Therefore, it is said: That also needs to be entrusted to those who are capable, competent, and possess skillful means. Therefore, it is said: He also needs to know the means of teaching the Dharma. Being well-trained means demonstrating such a nature by being proficient in that task. In order to explain the meaning of entrusting, it is to make others do it for the sake of doing. In order to clearly show that, in this way, both oneself and others need to be matured, therefore it is said: One also does it oneself and also entrusts it to others. As mentioned earlier, what kind of cause will the methods of maturation with characteristics become for maturation? In order to clearly explain this, it is said: There are six types of detailed classifications, and so on. Through these methods, how do the faculties mature appropriately? There are three ways of maturing the faculties, as well as the root of virtue, and it is the same for knowledge. Therefore, maturation is called the cause and method of the six types of maturation. Bodhisattvas who abide in the six grounds are revealed by completely abandoning the three obscurations. There are three bodhisattvas who abide in the ground of fruition. The three obscurations are like abiding on the skin, abiding on the flesh, and abiding on the bones. Completely revealing by abandoning these obscurations refers to the three grounds in order: the ground of pure superior intention, the ground of entering the definite ground, and the ultimate ground. Bodhisattvas who abide in these grounds are those with pure superior intention, those who abide in the definite ground, and those who will eventually reach the ultimate ground. There are also three grounds for diligently engaging in their conduct: the ground of conduct through aspiration is the nature of the path of application for entering the ground of pure superior intention. The grounds of diligent conduct are for entering the definite ground. Abiding in the ground of definite diligent conduct is for entering the ultimate ground. If these are summarized, they will become six.
