Speaking of the distinction of the non-determinate: they are called "the clear" and "the unclear." Speaking of the distinction of power and powerlessness: they are called "emanations" and "non-emanations." Also, indicating the distinction of location is: they are called "the far away" and "those who are near." In order to indicate that beings belonging to the path of the gods are gods, the term "god" refers to those belonging to the desire realm and the form realm. In order to indicate that the distinction of location is indeed manifold, it is said: it is called "above, up to the ultimate Akanistha and below." Similarly, the sounds of the gods belonging to the great trichiliocosm are heard without effort. In order to indicate that if effort is made, one can also hear those of other world realms, it is said: it is called "if you make entry," and so on. In order to indicate that those belonging to humans are indeed humans, it is said: it is called "beings born in all four continents." The sphere of activity of humans is direct, so it is called "direct." The word indicated by the Buddhas and Hearers is "noble," because it is spoken by the noble ones. Or, because it has become the side of the antidote that is completely purified from all afflictions, and conforms to it, one is also a noble one oneself. This also has two aspects, namely, direct perception and entering through transmission from one to another. In order to indicate the meaning of entering from one to another, it is said: it is called "having heard from them." Whatever one speaks oneself is also said to be the word of the Buddha. Therefore, even if it necessarily arises from the mouth of another, the sound is only similar to the style of letters and melodies, and because it enters the same place, it fully obtains its name. In order to indicate that those beings are also noble ones, it is said: it is called "truly showing," and so on. That is called "noble" because it accomplishes the four intentions that are extremely distinguished. Among them, for those who lack wisdom, who are deluded about the nature of the Dharma, and so on, it truly shows to those who are deluded. To the lazy and those without desire
