The very nature of what is expressed is also non-conceptual, because its own nature is not the object of conceptualization; it is said to be neither conceptual nor non-conceptual. Likewise, this wisdom, being free from all aspects of conceptualization, is said to be equal to the knowable because it is non-conceptual. The object to be known by that wisdom is suchness itself. It is also of two kinds by way of distinctions of establishment: that which is afflicted and that which is not afflicted. Among these, that which is afflicted is the basis and the place of expression of adventitious afflictions, and is therefore called the cause. Having closely taken the conditions as they are, and causing them to be taken, it is called the nature of other-dependence, because by the power of conditions, it completely arises in such and such a way. Complete arising is also until the expression is not abandoned. Again, that very nature, being free from conceptualization, becomes completely pure, and without depending on conditions, abiding in its own nature by itself, is called the perfectly established because it is perfectly accomplished. Because it is an unchanging nature, it is suchness. Therefore, it is said, "Whatever it is, that is the supreme suchness," which is called supreme because it is like the purity of the water element, gold, and space, or because it is the object of supreme wisdom. Because it has reached the ultimate limit of the knowable, it is unsurpassed. Therefore, in order to show the ultimate limit of the knowable, it is said, "The perfect discrimination of all dharmas will be accomplished," because there is no perfect discrimination of dharmas beyond that. Accomplishment means that it will turn back because the work has been completed. That which cannot be transgressed means that there is no entering into another place after transgressing it. Thus, having shown that it has become the object of wisdom, in order to show the establishment of the characteristics of suchness, it is said, "That characteristic of suchness is also," and so on. "Perfectly distinguished by non-duality" means that it is liberated from duality, and because it has abandoned the two extremes, it is the Middle Way.

Collected by. Like illusions, mirages, reflections, and echoes, they neither appear as real nor as unreal, and are not established. In this way, due to being non-dual, they can be completely distinguished. Even so, they do not have the nature of illusory elephants and so on, which are clung to by children. In this way, they are liberated from the real, but they are not completely non-existent, because substances such as wooden sticks and clods of earth do exist. Similarly, mirages and so on should also be compared according to their respective situations. In this way, these things are separate from the real because they are liberated from the nature that is completely imputed by children. Because they can be completely distinguished by things alone, and because they are completely established as the objects of the wisdom of the noble ones, they are separate from the unreal. In this way, one will be separated from the two extremes of addition and defamation. In this way, the Middle Way is completely shown. Furthermore, the meaning of two is this: the real and the unreal, this is from the perspective of establishing the Middle Way. The so-called real is the nature of the imputed expression, which is the imputed expression, name, and designation. Establishing these is teaching and convention, that is, self and difference, and so on. In this way, it is shown that how children express themselves in words and how they think in their minds, but in reality it is not so. The so-called long-standing habitual clinging means what is clung to by habitual clinging. In this way, it is shown that how children cling, but in reality it is not so. The so-called being the root of all discriminations and elaborations means that all discriminations should be understood as the eight aspects that will be explained. Discriminating with terms such as permanence, and the term of discrimination is elaboration. Abiding in these and becoming the cause is the root. In this way, it will be shown that things abide in name and discrimination. Furthermore, all discriminations in short
