These are to show that there is no other cause of happiness other than these. It is also said that "there is nothing higher than this," and so on. Among them, happiness is divided into completely perfect happiness and incompletely perfect happiness. Among them, completely perfect happiness is to show that whatever does not depend on the elimination of suffering, but arises from the causes of happiness, that is the feeling of happiness. It is said that "it does not depend on the complete pacification of suffering" to show that it does not arise from the elimination of suffering. "Only from those three" means the cause of happiness collected from the root, object, and touch. It maintains body and mind because it is the nature of happiness. Furthermore, the feeling of happiness is spoken of in terms of being established as two types. In short, it is divided into two types, and so on. The uncontaminated happiness is also divided into two types included by the path of learning and the path of no learning. The contaminated happiness is also related to the three realms, places, and right knowledge. Therefore, it is said that "they also arise respectively from the differences of the six places of all the three realms, starting from the touch arising from the collection of the eye," and so on. Among them, the meaning of each is: the six types that are completely in accordance with desire are the six types of consciousness that are completely in accordance with the body. The four types of consciousness and the four types that are completely in accordance with the form realm, because there is no nose consciousness and tongue consciousness among them. The one that is completely in accordance with the formless realm is one, that is, the touch arising from the collection of the mind, because there is no collection of the five consciousnesses there. Therefore, there are six types. Furthermore, these six types also become two types, namely bodily and mental. Among them, the bodily has five types, and the mental has the sixth type. Therefore, it is said that "the one that corresponds to the collection of the five consciousnesses is bodily, and the one that corresponds to the mind consciousness is mental," and the feeling that is completely in accordance with the five consciousnesses depends on the root accumulated by fine particles.

It is for the sake of counteracting the body. To truly rely on the consciousness is to rely on mind-only, which arises from the mind. By pacifying suffering arising from untimely occurrences etc. through remedies, merely the error itself, by pacifying it through remedies for suffering, merely the error itself, one establishes the side of remedies for suffering as happiness. If the feeling of happiness exists and the cause of feeling also exists, then abiding in suffering, the feeling that is truly gathered will cease, therefore the cessation of feeling is happiness, and it is said to show this, and, entering into the cessation of perception and feeling is called cessation. Liberation from suffering with harm is happiness without harm. Suffering with harm is of four kinds: the suffering of householders being busy with seeking and guarding etc., the suffering of being unskilled in desires, the suffering of being disturbed by conceptualization and analysis, and the suffering of being completely ignorant of obscurations. The four aspects of definite liberation from these are called happiness without harm. The so-called correct faith, from "for the sake of taming oneself" to the meaning of "for the sake of completely liberating oneself from suffering," renunciation is to show manifest happiness. The so-called definite liberation from various kinds of household suffering means that various kinds of household affairs cause suffering, those without wealth suffer through seeking, and those with wealth suffer through guarding. Definite liberation from these is to establish the counteracting side of these as manifest happiness, definite liberation from household affairs, because it is not necessarily present in others, therefore it is called manifest happiness. Because the counteracting side is made manifest, one abandons desires and sins, and the dharma called virtue, therefore it is happiness, the happiness of the first dhyana ground is called extremely secluded happiness. Without conceptualization and analysis, conceptualization and analysis are nearly pacified, and one naturally enters, it is the happiness of near pacification.
