The term "Zhin-no" and so forth. In terms of complete acquisition, the word "earth" (ས་, sa) means that just as worldly people are, bodhisattvas are also completely acquired by those dharmas, so it is said. It is the term "difference of stages." In terms of the meaning of a place for close enjoyment, earth is a place. Similarly, whatever dwells comfortably by dwelling in this and that dharma is a place. Or, in terms of dwelling comfortably, it is regarded as the meaning of a place, just as dwelling comfortably in the seen dharma, or like a place of asceticism. It is a place of great joy. A bodhisattva with realization relies correctly on the transcendental path, thereby making the discipline completely pure, and dwells in the second ground. That completely pure discipline, if briefly stated, has two aspects: purity from the motivation and purity of self-nature. Among them, purity from the motivation is shown by the ten thoughts of the mind. Self-nature completely pure has three aspects: the returning discipline, the discipline of accumulating virtuous dharmas, and the discipline of doing the deeds of sentient beings. The returning discipline is the display of the ten virtuous paths of action. That itself is also the completely pure discipline of vows. The second completely pure discipline is also like that before it, therefore I should completely purify in all aspects from the similarities that can be accomplished, and strive to accomplish itself, from then on, most of it is like this, learning correctly, it should be known that until "like this," it is shown by the ritual stated in the sutra. The third completely pure discipline is also like that before it, that is, the mind for the benefit of sentient beings, and the mind of happiness, etc., are shown by the ten words up to "the mind of teaching." By completely mastering the remaining disciplines, dwelling in It is established as eight aspects, because it possesses the discipline of self-nature, therefore it is free from all defilements of violating the discipline, and because it knows the cause and effect of all paths of action, it can distinguish them one by one, and also for other virtuous deeds.

Where there is joy in solitude, and the attainment of great compassion, and the observation of beings tormented by the suffering born from the karma of the realm of sentient beings, and the complete purification of the roots of virtue, birth, and the distinction of power. The so-called beginning is to abide in the abode of great joy. Having spoken of the order of the Dharma with regard to the second abode, in the "ten thoughts of the mind," etc., with these ten thoughts, one will attain great pure thought. Having attained it, one will overcome the second ground. O sons of the Conqueror, if a Bodhisattva has done well in the first Bodhisattva ground, then that Bodhisattva wants to appear in the second Bodhisattva ground, then ten thoughts will arise in his mind. What are the ten? As follows: the thought of uprightness, the thought of gentleness, the thought of capability, the thought of taming, the thought of tranquility, the thought of goodness, the thought of non-contamination, the thought of non-consideration, the thought of greatness, and the thought of greatness itself. These ten thoughts of the mind will arise, and therefore one will abide in the second ground, this is what is taught. In order to show those meanings, it is said, in "the non-deceptive superior intention," etc., not deceiving illusion and deceiving teachers, etc., is the thought of uprightness. Because it is in accordance with the Dharma, it is pleasant to be with people, it is the thought of gentleness. Afflictions and near afflictions and the deeds of demons are suppressed, therefore abiding in the aspect of counteracting them, therefore it is the thought of capability. The mind that cannot be suppressed by the incompatible aspects of the practice of good Dharma, being in accordance with that practice, is called the thought of capability. The thought of seeing the faults of all actions is the thought of taming. From those arising disgust, therefore becoming tamed, etc. Seeing the aspect of tranquility of Nirvana, in which all actions are tranquil, is the thought of tranquility.
