It is because the continuity of cause and effect is uninterrupted. Thus, in order to show that the characteristics of conditioned phenomena are established on impermanent conditioned phenomena, it is said, "Moment by moment," etc. "Seeing three characteristics of conditioned phenomena in one moment" means birth, abiding, and cessation. "The fourth characteristic of conditioned phenomena after a moment" is established in relation to the previous characteristics, which is aging. The characteristics such as "the first moment of conditioned phenomena" should be combined. Therefore, birth is shown to be the arising of something that did not exist before. A thing that is born, in its own state of abiding, is called abiding when it does not decay at that time. "In relation to the previously ceased thing" means that aging is the nature of change, and change is also the nature of the difference between the previous and the later. Therefore, the difference of change in that very moment is invisible. Therefore, it is shown that "If it abides as it is, it does not age; if it has changed, it is different; therefore, the nature of dharma is one; therefore, aging is invisible." There are two kinds of aging: approaching aging and completely separating aging. Considering both of these, it is said, "Whatever is different or has changed." Also, in order to show its meaning in another way, "is different" refers to the time when it appears similar. "Different from" refers to the decay of one's own nature and the complete pacification of one's own nature. Thus, after establishing the characteristics, in order to prevent the differences of things established by force due to the attachment of various schools to these characteristics, "whoever truly sees the essence" etc. "Essence" refers to preventing the belief that there is something other than form etc. Now, in order to show that there is no destruction other than birth etc., "its essence" etc. They are completely separated due to the difference in the state of the characteristics, so they are established as two kinds: things with substance and things without substance. In order to show the establishment of three characteristics in the sutra

Regarding the so-called four characteristics, etc., "what exists" refers to, arising is the characteristic of my body, therefore it is called arising. It is called "manifest accomplishment" and so on. "What is the nature" refers to cessation, that is, its nature does not exist. Moment by moment, it possesses arising and ceasing, and when entering, the continuum of conditioned phenomena changes into something else, this is the third characteristic. Therefore, in order to show the three states, it is shown as three, that is, "conditioned phenomena" refers to arising from nothing, arising and then decaying, and its continuum, that is, entering and then changing into something else, this refers to the perspective of three kinds of impermanence, therefore three characteristics are spoken of. The impermanence of things not existing before, the impermanence of things transforming, and the impermanence of things ceasing. In order to show that there is no प्रमाण (pramāṇa, Devanagari: प्रमाण, Romanization: pramāṇa, literal meaning: measure) for those who think that these characteristics also exist in the form of substance, it is said, among them, Bodhisattvas, etc., he said that he only focuses on the arising of conditioned phenomena, which shows the absence of self-nature through direct perception प्रमाण (pramāṇa, Devanagari: प्रमाण, Romanization: pramāṇa, literal meaning: measure). Therefore, it is shown that arising and so on cannot be definitely grasped by direct perception प्रमाण (pramāṇa, Devanagari: प्रमाण, Romanization: pramāṇa, literal meaning: measure). The so-called "if analyzed with reason" means that it also shows that it is impossible to determine the function through inference. Therefore, since it is impossible to determine the self-nature and function, it does not exist in the form of substance, this is the nature. Discriminating through the reasoning of inference, for example, if form, etc., if the arising of form becomes different from form itself, then like feeling, etc., it will lead to the arising of different things. In order to refute the statement that "it is only intention, so there is no harm," after stating the intentions of others, it is said, if that is the case, then what is the arising of conditioned phenomena, etc., the arising of dharma is also different, and the arising of arising is also different, therefore it is united with the eight dharmas, thus distinguishing, those people believe that there are two kinds of arising. In order to show the fault of that aspect, therefore, for that arising of conditioned phenomena, etc.
