It is also so, because compassion is also a characteristic of Bodhisattvas. Therefore, in order to attain the immeasurable, Bodhisattvas are called compassionate. The compassion of Hearers and others is not great compassion because it only focuses on the suffering of suffering. Bodhisattvas are great compassion because they focus on all the various differences of suffering, and in order to show this, it is said, "Seeing one hundred and ten kinds of suffering," etc. It should be established in two ways, fifty-five and fifty-five. In order to show the first fifty-five, starting from "One suffering is," etc., the so-called "one" refers to the common suffering without distinction belonging to all conditioned phenomena, which is called the suffering of change. Therefore, it is said, proclaiming that "all sentient beings possess the suffering belonging to the suffering of change." The suffering that changes sequentially due to the causes of desire and ignorance, and the two kinds of suffering that are mainly the suffering of suffering, are called "rooted in desire." For those who have desire and attachment to desire, change, that is, becoming other, from which arises suffering such as sorrow. Because it happens first, it is called "rooted in desire." The eight kinds of change are the karma taught by the Hearers. Among them, the one that is completely changed by time is the suffering of change, and the rest is the suffering of decay. Ignorant children, when a painful touch arises on the body, become deluded, and so on. This is the fully deluded ripening suffering, and whatever has the fully deluded ripening suffering is the synonym called the fruit of fully deluded. As the Blessed One said, "Monks, ignorant ordinary people, not endowed with hearing the Dharma, when the body experiences the feeling of painful touch, they will be controlled by the universal delusion of sorrow." Therefore, it is said, "Which intense feelings," etc.

La. The so-called two sufferings are the harm caused by the two types of suffering, physical and mental. The nature of the three sufferings is the three types of suffering themselves. If the four types are summarized, they should be established as two types, namely, suffering of separation and suffering of universal ignorance. Among them, the suffering of separation is also of two types: the first is that which arises from separation from desire; the second is that which arises from separation from life. There are also two types: the suffering of temporarily passing from one life to another, therefore it is said to be called passing from one life to another. The fourth is that which is perpetually painful in all lives. The five are caused by the five pervasive afflictions, as it is said in other sutras: "Here, someone, due to craving for desire, experiences suffering and displeasure to a great extent due to the cause of pervasive entanglement." And so on, up to "similarly due to the cause of doubt." Establishing as six types is based on the difference between the cause and effect of those who commit misdeeds, and on the enjoyment of resources, etc. The seven sufferings refer to the words that explain the truth of suffering, except for the last fundamental suffering. The eight sufferings are based on the suffering that arises from the complete transformation of time, the suffering that arises from the complete transformation of arising, the suffering that is co-born, the suffering associated with action, and the suffering of abiding. The first and second are divided into two types each. The third is only one type. The fourth is of two types. That which is done by others is also of two types: that which is done with the intention of others preceding it, and that which arises from the experience of touch preceding it. The nine types are based on the difference of things, the difference of details, and the difference of states. The difference of things is also of two types: self and other. Only the other is also of two types: the difference between sentient beings who suffer and things. Why is it said? Relatives

This is about the suffering of decline. There are three states of being in decline, divided by the distinction between result and cause. In the phrase "being without illness is the greatest gain," decline is encompassed by the result. The decline of discipline and view is encompassed by the cause. There are also two types of states: other than the suffering of being poor in discipline and being poor in view, the others are of this life. Those two are of the next life. The ten types refer to the distinction of being deprived of the ten necessities of the body. Thus, fifty-five types are shown. Furthermore, in "suffering is" and so on, the remaining fifty-five types of suffering are elaborated in detail using the second method. Also, this word "again" is for elaborating another nine types of suffering. The brief indication and detailed distinction themselves are for completely including all causes of suffering and for elaborating all suffering. There are also two causes of suffering: the matured result of karma accumulated in past lives becomes suffering, and what is taken up by one's own conditions in this life, from which the result of the suffering of decline arises. The four types of suffering that possess great factors such as time and place are great sufferings. Because it enters through the door of all beings, it is entering through all doors, combining in an appropriate manner. What arises from one's own evil deeds of body, speech, and mind is the suffering of wrong entry. Furthermore, know that this wrong entry is six things. What is said for what reason is done by other sentient beings? In "harm done by others" and so on, explaining harm done by others means arising from harm to others, that is, arising from causing unwanted harm to others. The northerners say that the actor will obtain [the result], and for the sake of showing this, it is said, "arising from doing harm," which is to fully initiate so that one can be competent. What arises from eating unsuitable food causing imbalance in the body is the meaning of the suffering of various diseases.
