Question. What is asked? Is it well? Is it peaceful? Is the night well? Is the day well? This is how one asks. Saying "Come in, welcome" and offering a seat is a complete greeting. Worldly terms refer to the people of the city. These are about material things. When wealth increases, first speaking pleasant words is what makes one truly happy. In short, increase is also of two kinds: concerning the wealth of this world and concerning the wealth of the next world. The wealth of this world is the ultimate distinction of beings and non-beings. Among these, those counted as beings are also of two kinds: Definitely maintaining the lineage, such as saying "Is the son wealthy?", which is a synonym for obtaining a son. Objects of playful delight, such as saying "Is the wife wealthy?", which is a synonym for obtaining a particularly superior lineage, etc. Objects belonging to the mother's side, such as saying "Are the relatives wealthy?", which refers to obtaining the special quality of complete relatives, that is wealth. Objects counted as non-beings are also of two kinds: The fruit that becomes the door of trade gatherings, such as saying "Wealth is abundant." The fruit that becomes the door of field gatherings, such as saying "Grain is abundant," wealth means obtaining the special quality of completeness, which is a synonym. If one does not realize and does not know that one possesses wealth, upon seeing wealth, such as saying, if one did not previously know how to possess wealth, saying it for the first time, because one obtains it, one becomes very happy, therefore saying "Praise and be universally happy." The wealth of the next world is to be recognized as obtaining excellence and entering the path of definite goodness. Among these, it should be recognized that one enters through faith, discipline, and generosity, because they cause the body and enjoyment to obtain particularly superior results, so it is said that this is wealth not yet obtained. Through faith, one will enter into hearing. From that, three kinds of wisdom will arise.
