also speaks skillfully. Relying on the four kinds of reasoning, the aspect of thoroughly contemplating with reason from this and that reasoning is called knowing reasoning. Being skilled in demonstrating the meaning of others in all ways, and being capable of protecting the teachings, and being skilled in managing the household well, and being skilled in the conduct of kings and worldly expressions, based on these, for those who are poor and desirous, practicing Dharma in accordance, and practicing in accordance with understanding what should be known, this is called the wisdom of the poor and desirous. Being skilled in demonstrating the meaning of others in all ways should be known as the four distinct correct knowledges. That is, by what wisdom, without obstruction, one thoroughly knows the enumeration of all dharmas, that is called the distinct correct knowledge of dharmas. Initiating such wisdom from characteristics is called the distinct correct knowledge of meaning. Initiating from the declaration of definitive words is the distinct correct knowledge of definitive words. Initiating from excellent distinctions is the distinct correct knowledge of fearlessness. By what wisdom one can declare the faults of heretics, whatever can subdue the opponents, that is called subduing wisdom. Whatever can declare the qualities of one's own side, that is, being able to show the attainment of one's own tenets, is called truly establishing wisdom.

From showing those who are confused about this and that, until making them truly happy, it is called the wisdom of having done the deed. Having distinguished by two differences, relying on the five meanings themselves, and the wisdom that aims at it, should be understood as ten non-inverted purities. The five meanings are: just its meaning, the meaning of entering, the meaning of approaching, the meaning of means, and the ultimate meaning. Just its meaning also has two aspects: just its meaning is true, and completely cutting off all aspects. The meaning of cause and effect is called the meaning of entering, because the continuum of cause and effect enters. It also has two aspects: holding as cause in a non-inverted way, and holding as effect. The meaning of approaching has two aspects: inverted and non-inverted, because of approaching the aspects of entering and returning. By saying "because of approaching with this," both of them are completely known, therefore it is two aspects. The means are the discipline of entering and the discipline of returning. Even so, by knowing all that should be done and should not be done as it is, the action is also two aspects. The ultimate meaning is completely abandoning all defilements, and truly accomplishing purification. Completely knowing both of them as they are, likewise wisdom is also two aspects. Wisdom is very certain, because it gives purification. Immeasurable is because of the distinction of the aspects of things. In order to explain that these six perfections are taught from the sutras, it is said: "This is in that and those other sutra divisions," and so on, such as the sutras of the Noble Inexhaustible Intelligence Sutra and so on. Sparsely, means those that are taught in small amounts. Briefly taught, is a synonym for saying that it is taught in a concise nature. Teaching, means briefly teaching. Definitely explaining, means explaining in detail. In order to definitely grasp the meaning of the nature of generosity and so on, which are taught here, from other scriptures, the perfections

For those perfections, it is also necessary to combine self-nature and so on. This method described here should also be used in conjunction with numbers elsewhere, as it is said. Collection should also be understood as appropriate, as it is said. It is said to show that it should be applied not only to the Sutra Pitaka, but also to the Jataka tales and so on. In the immeasurable Jataka tales and so on, all the Jataka tales of the Bodhisattva are perfectly in accordance with the six perfections, because all the actions of the Bodhisattva are distinguished by merit and wisdom. In order to show that from those Jataka tales and so on, some of the self-nature of the perfections such as giving are also shown, it is said, some are and so on. Now, how should we analyze and combine them according to the situation. The accumulation of merit and wisdom, which is completely collected by the merit that is perfectly in accordance with the six perfections, and the white Dharma's great stream, with the great self, taking the past virtuous Dharma, because it has accumulated great merit and wisdom. Taking the future time, it is called the great ocean of the great white Dharma, because it has accumulated great merit and wisdom. Just as the great stream of water residing in the ocean itself is a great stream, it is called the great ocean because various things flow in large quantities. This method is also the same as this. In order to show that the ocean is the same as the Dharma, just as the great ocean is the source of all jewels, the Bodhisattva is also the source of the great jewel of all forms of benefit for all sentient beings, because he is the cause of all the perfections of all sentient beings, so he is the source of jewels, because he can completely produce them. Therefore, it should be said that the great jewel is completely given to him. These are to show that merit and wisdom are the same as the great Bodhi in cause and effect, so its cause is the result.
