Effort is inconceivable diligence. Not despising oneself is because they have also become human beings, so initiating such diligence, I have also become a human being, so I should gradually accomplish it, thus making the armored one understand. Not abandoning the effort of great armor, and not generating the thought of 'I cannot' in the mind, therefore not being discouraged. In order not to regress midway, it is called tireless diligence. These ten are the aspects of completely pure diligence. In short, it should be known that with five kinds of effort it is completely pure: namely, the effort of samadhi is completely pure, as well as subsequent fear, and the practice of true joy and separation is completely pure, as well as the effort of the assembly of samadhi is completely pure, as well as the effort of cessation is completely pure, and the effort towards the difference of the fruit is completely pure, how should it be reasonably combined. The explanation of the chapter on the perfection of diligence, the twelfth chapter is complete. The nature of the samadhi of the Bodhisattvas should be established as four types. Among them, it is also said that the focus is on the object of focus. The treasury of the Bodhisattva, hearing and thinking preceding means hearing the extremely vast Mahayana sutras, and thinking about its meaning preceding, and then the one-pointed mind that arises in accordance with the practice should be established as the object of focus, because the dharmas included in samadhi all arise from this. For what reason is the aspect spoken of? Worldly and transcendental, meaning synonyms for worldly aspects and transcendental aspects. For what reason is the nature spoken of? One-pointed mind refers to the continuous entry of the mind without distraction towards one object of focus, which is called one-pointed mind, that is, focusing on the object of focus. Therefore it is said, the mind abides. For what reason is detailed distinction spoken of? The aspect of cessation and so on. The root of samadhi is the aspect of cessation, and what is close is insight.

It is the side of insight. Because the noble path arises based on the ground, it is the side of both. Alternatively, the nine ways of abiding in the mind are the side of calm abiding. The four ways of abiding in the mind are the side of insight. The noble path is the side of both. By controlling all aspects of self and all actions of self, all meditations should be distinguished. All meditations have two aspects: mundane and supramundane. Actions are of three kinds: abiding in order to experience happiness in this life is called meditation for abiding in happiness, because it completely ripens what belongs to one's own continuum. Meditation called accomplishing the qualities of samadhi is for completely ripening the Dharma of the Buddha. Meditation for the benefit of sentient beings is simply to completely ripen sentient beings. In short, the activity of a Bodhisattva is only this much: to make one's own continuum a suitable vessel, and having become a suitable vessel, to completely ripen the Dharma of the Buddha and sentient beings. The term "as appropriate" means that the supramundane is of two kinds: completely abandoning meditation for the benefit of sentient beings. The mundane is also of three kinds. Meditation that abandons the four defilements is to truly accomplish abiding in happiness in this very life, therefore, why is it said to be free from the extreme wandering of conceptualization? That which is called "free from all conceptualizations," all conceptualizations are the conceptualizations of self-nature, etc., which were previously taught. It arises from being a special thing through extreme habituation, therefore it is called supremely and utterly peaceful, because it has the special characteristic of benefiting the basis, therefore it is produced by extreme habituation. It is called supremely peaceful because it enters naturally. Because it is free from the defilements of views, it is called free from pride. Because it is free from the defilements of craving, it has no taste. Because it has abandoned all enjoyments such as form, it is free from all signs. Bodhisattvas

Because the differences in samadhi are numerous, they are diverse. Inconceivable because those names are not objects of use either. Therefore it is said, if even the name is not known. The essence is also not an object of use, so it is immeasurable. Because it is said, after entering samadhi, it will be reversed. By showing the samadhi that accomplishes merit, it is to definitely show the excellent merits. The so-called shravakas and common ones are only in name, not vast. Relying on samadhi, with its power, for the benefit of immeasurable beings, simultaneously transforming one's own body, eliminating the suffering of those who suffer, repaying kindness to those who have been kind, protecting from fear, eliminating the sorrow of those who are in suffering, until it is frightening. Such samadhi is to accomplish the deeds of beings, so it is called the samadhi that benefits beings. To show that accomplishing deeds itself, there is no other samadhi other than that, so it is said, there is nothing higher than this, and so on. The other mature birth that has not completely degenerated from samadhi, which is difficult to be blocked by others, being able to block is the difficult samadhi. Bodhisattvas rely on samadhi, possessing immeasurable, countless, inconceivable samadhis, which others cannot do, and which shravakas and others do not have, this is the second and third difficult samadhi. The first is with investigation and analysis. The second is with mental pleasure. The third is with pleasure. The fourth is with equanimity, it should be understood by following the Viparyāsa Sūtra. From closely entering the happiness of one's own continuum, the undefiled virtue is called the samadhi of the noble person because it has not tasted the flavor, because it has not been tasted by desire. Showing to other beings, the four immeasurables such as loving-kindness, which are antidotes to hatred, etc., are called the samadhi of the noble person. The six aspects are further distinguished in detail.
