It should be understood as before. The so-called maturation of the unpleasant means to be patient with what is ugly and terrifying. The mind of loving-kindness is the thought of benefiting and bringing happiness to all sentient beings. The mind of compassion is the thought of wanting to be free from suffering. The gentle mind is the mind that does not abandon sentient beings. Thus, it will be explained that patience is practiced in relation to the three types of sentient beings. Patience is to have a strong desire for perfect and complete enlightenment in order to perfect the accumulation of enlightenment. The so-called strong in patience is because, among all ascetics, the asceticism of patience is supreme, and by its power, asceticism and discipline become pure, therefore it is called strong in patience. Thus, patience is practiced with regard to the differences in one's own state. The so-called perfect lineage means having the realization of lineage. The so-called prior is the stage of acting with faith. Explaining the word "abiding" means "through sitting." Some read "abiding in" as "abiding," the meaning of which is: through becoming accustomed to patience, it becomes manifest, and sitting is abiding. "Also, patience by nature" means having the power of cause, not having the power of fabrication. This is a summary word. Speaking from the perspective of a Bodhisattva abiding on the ground, through separately knowing the selflessness of the person, there is no arrogance in "I should be patient with this, I will be patient," this is patience. Why is it said so? "Knowing that there are no sentient beings" means thoroughly understanding the selflessness of phenomena and not caring about all harm. Thus, it will be explained that one becomes able to be patient through the power of knowing reality as it is. Thus, there are six types. Speaking from the perspective of seven types, "with all patience" and so on. Thus, patience without difference in the difference of things, the difference of objects, the difference of causes, the difference of states, and the three forms is called the seven types of patience.

It is called "Mapa". What is said to be divided into two types arising from rough touch is: being bitten by mosquitoes, and being bitten by horseflies, etc. What arises from the burning of the body is wind and sunstroke, etc., which cause burning and dryness. What arises from cool touch is chest and abdominal movements, etc., such as what is said: being bitten by poisonous snakes, etc. What arises from excessive exertion is what is said: the body born from fatigue and the exhaustion of the mind, etc. The suffering of samsara such as birth is because of what is said: existing in samsara, etc. Accepting all of these and properly and truly combining one's own benefit and the benefit of others is the acceptance of patience, so that oneself and others are happy here and elsewhere. Not retaliating with harm for harm that has been done is called completely pure patience because of the purity of action. Not letting the mind be disturbed by harm that others are currently causing, and not holding grudges even when knowing that harm has been done in the past, and wanting to help them again, being close and maintaining pure thoughts, is therefore called completely pure. Going to those who harm sentient beings and speaking harmoniously, showing no hostility, and accepting those who come to ask for forgiveness when others cause harm, is called completely pure through remedy. Starting from impatience, mostly feeling ashamed is the intention to respect those who teach through patience, and starting from various unpleasant boundaries, the intention of compassion, and through the difference of things, the difference of intentions is completely pure. The companions of the Dharma of impatience are afflictions such as anger. For those who are free from desire, completely abandoning the opposing aspects of patience is completely pure. Therefore, in summary, patience is prayed for through completely pure action, completely pure intention, completely pure difference of action, completely pure difference of intention, and completely pure freedom from desire. The eleventh chapter, the Perfection of Patience.
