Even if it has already begun, there is still a possibility of turning back midway, so even if you enter, do not turn back, that is its meaning. Because there is no dislike for it, there is no displeasure. Because there is no suffering at all, it is not completely afflicted. To separately contemplate the correct path is to thoroughly discriminate. The so-called correct is the state of not being inverted. Dharma refers to things like with outflows and without outflows. Because of separately discriminating, it is thoroughly discriminating. Even if it possesses reason, but without inverting, to truly contemplate the characteristics of self and general characteristics, is to thoroughly discriminate. Regarding this, to discriminate based on the four reasons is to be extremely examined. The faith that arises from that cause is the faith that arises from extremely examined wisdom. To truly grasp and hold onto a certain object as it is, is called well-abiding, because all demons and heretics cannot overcome it, and one can obtain steadfast strength. The so-called "qualities of the Three Jewels" are the great nature of the Three Jewels. The so-called "merely that meaning" is the selflessness of persons and phenomena. The so-called "great power" is the three aspects mentioned earlier. A Bodhisattva who generates faith in these three abodes is called having faith in the profound and having faith in the vast. As mentioned before, to have true trust in cause and effect is faith, to receive the characteristics of cause and effect with the power of certainty is like this. This meaning that I must obtain is definitely there, I must obtain it. The path to obtain it is this, to obtain it with certainty is called the method to obtain it, these are called manifest faith. The so-called "object of knowledge" is to obtain a certain grasp of the aspects of impermanence, etc., saying, "This is like this, it is not otherwise." Because of completely familiarizing oneself in one great countless eon, one practices for a long time on the ground of faith-conduct. For those who have well entered the ten grounds, they will obtain the distinction of realization, they will obtain the Dharma characterized by selflessness, and they will obtain extremely pure wisdom. Among all forbearance, one will obtain the forbearance that is difficult to endure, etc.

English

It is said to explain the classification of patience. Among them, "depending on this" and so on, it should be observed from three aspects. Difficult patience should also be classified in three ways: the difference of the object of patience, the difference of the patient himself, and the difference of the object of harm. As far as the object of patience is concerned, it is said that "the weak" and so on, the inferior are the object of love, and the basis of compassion, so they should be patient, because there is no other action, so patience is difficult patience. As far as the patient is concerned, it is said that "the patient" and so on, the monarch is the one who has the ability, and for those who can harm in various ways, patience is difficult patience. People in inferior positions, if they do things that threaten their lives, and they are strong, they also endure; similarly, the weak do harm and endure; those who are equal to themselves do harm and endure; the lowly do unbearable harm and endure, this is called difficult patience. For relatives and friends, endure with the mind of benefit. For non-relatives, endure with the mind of love. For ordinary people, endure with indiscriminate equanimity. Like this from three paths. To endure with an equal attitude towards all three is the fourth path. From the perspective of intolerance, not harming oneself and others is called a great man. His patience is the patience of a great man. Seeing the five faults of intolerance, and being able to see the five merits of patience that are contrary to this. In order to explain the merits, it is said that "there will not be many enemies in the future" and so on, the explanation of the meaning of these merits should be understood as before, just like the land produced from hearing. Seeing the merits of patience in this way, one will live in it more. It will also make others truly enter into patience because of love for sentient beings. As far as patience is concerned, it makes the three kinds of sentient beings abide in the right path, etc.
