Because of abiding in the ground, it is the fourth. Because it is a constant discipline, it is the fifth because of obtaining the discipline of Dharma-nature. Each category is also summarized into three types of discipline, that is, all of these are indicated by "discipline of vows" and so on. Why are the bodhisattva's disciplines neither more nor less than three? In order to show that the discipline is established as three through the answer of the debater, "three" and so on are said. The discipline of vows keeps the mind at peace, because it abides in the bliss of the Dharma, which is free from all afflictions. The direct perception of body and mind is also the same as this. With the discipline of collecting virtuous Dharmas, one accomplishes self-benefit through the means of perfecting the Buddhadharma. With the gate of the discipline of benefiting sentient beings, one accomplishes the benefit of others through the means of perfecting sentient beings. The activities of a bodhisattva are limited to these. That is, making oneself a vessel and accomplishing the benefit of both. The extensive commentary on the tenth chapter, the chapter on the discipline of the Bodhisattva, is completed. The six perfections should also be established as nine types, which is to indicate everything with a single summary word. The nature of patience should be established as four types: the difference of the support, the difference of the basis of the support, the difference of the object, and the difference of the cause. Among them, the support is the power of discriminating awareness in the stage of practice with aspiration, because it is said, "Relying on the power of discriminating awareness." Because it is not overcome by opposing factors, it is called power. For those who have entered the ground, it is by the power of habituation, because it is said, "By nature," that is, those who have entered the ground have fully entered the patience of the three wheels being completely purified by fully understanding the two types of selflessness, so it is said to be patience by nature. The basis is all sentient beings who harm oneself, and these are without distinction. Therefore, it is said, "No matter what." The object is harming oneself

There is no distinction in all places. Why is it said? "Not taking everything to heart," that is to say, not taking it to heart in two ways, whether or not one has the ability, in order, not to retaliate, and not to be angry in one's heart. The mind without defilement is because one does not expect to be helped in return by the Dharma in this life, and also for the next life, there is no strong desire for desirable and undesirable states, and there is no shame. What is the difference in cause? Because it is said, "Only with compassion." Furthermore, the nature of patience can be divided into three types: the difference of antidote, the power of individual observation, the power of cultivation, and the difference of cause. That is, sentient beings who harm and the harm that has been done. The difference in cause is the mind without defilement and only compassion. If all patience is briefly summarized, it can be divided into two types: aspect and difference. Patience in the realm of human beings. Impatience will arise in large quantities, and on top of that, the substance of suffering will arise, and the antidote that universally uses to eliminate the substance of suffering will also arise. Therefore, it is said, "Relying on the aspect of householders and abiding in the aspect of renunciants." Also, therefore, the patience that arises in this way is worthy of praise, which is a concluding word. Even among householders, those who have the wealth of enjoyment can retaliate, and renunciants can also retaliate because they have the wealth of mind. Even if one can do that, it is said that one should be patient with the body and so on, whether one becomes a householder or a renunciant, one should be patient, which is a concluding word. There are three types of differences: patience of not taking to heart is not taking harm to heart, and taking the antidote to suffering to heart. Those should be understood as the nature of no hatred and no anger. The patience of enduring suffering is the power of physical diligence and the power of proper attention.
