What are the eight aspects of suffering? It is the precept of eliminating poverty and desire by reversing the ways of poverty, unpleasantness, and disagreeableness. By preventing entry into the cause of suffering, it benefits oneself and others in this life and the next, hence it is the precept of prevention. Giving happiness in this life and the next, that is, allowing entry into the cause of happiness, hence it is the precept of allowance. Likewise, to benefit both, it is the precept of gathering, as it gathers sentient beings who truly enter into both. For those who wrongly enter into the happiness of this life and the next, it is the precept of subduing, as it subdues them. Only with generosity, one becomes the fruit of great enjoyment in the next life; with patience, it becomes the cause of happiness for oneself and others in this life and the next; in the next life, oneself becomes the cause of having servants and attendants; having happiness and diligence in this life and the next, one initiates diligence in this life, hence it becomes the cause of not mixing with sinful and unwholesome dharmas; in the next life, it becomes the cause of great happiness, hence having happiness in this life and the next; having meditation, in this life itself it becomes the cause of touching happiness; in the next life, it becomes the cause of being born as a pure god, hence there is happiness in both; having wisdom, in this life itself one can generate expertise in those things; in the next life, it becomes the cause of the excellence of wisdom, hence there is happiness in both. Thus, the four precepts are gathered by the six perfections, and they are applied as appropriate. Benefiting both oneself and others, one obtains happiness in this life and the next. Being the antidote to the ten faults, hence it is purity. The ten are the ten faults. Due to the decline of intention, it is the fault of the decline of proper reception. Its antidote is to proclaim from the desire for virtuous conduct to the desire for ultimate enlightenment. The fault of not applying oneself to the training is that one does not respect the training established by the Thus-Gone One, hence one is extremely timid.

It is said that it is not, that is, it is explained by "that itself is contradictory" and so on. Because it is the fault of following the unestablished basis of learning, it is too excessive. In order to counteract those two faults, it is completely pure because it is properly studied as prescribed. In order to counteract the fault of laziness, it is said that there is no laziness and so on. Being free from laziness means diligently striving for virtue day and night. In order to counteract the fault of carelessness, it is said that it is completely grasped by mindfulness and so on. The fault of a bad basis is because it depends on the differences of gain, respect, and birth. To counteract it, it is said that one has made good aspirations and so on. To counteract the fault of others not desiring, it is said that the ritual is complete and so on. To counteract the fault of wrong livelihood, it is said that livelihood is complete and so on. To counteract the fault of failing into two extremes, it is said that the two extremes are completely abandoned and so on. To counteract the fault of clinging to the supreme, it is said that one must definitely abandon and so on. To counteract deterioration, it is to violate the precepts. To counteract it, it is said that it does not deteriorate and so on. The great aggregate of morality is vast and extensive because it is wide, vast, and has great merit. Generating the fruit of great enlightenment is because the fruit is great. These two are explained by "the perfection of morality" and so on. Studying the morality of the Bodhisattva's vows shows that the benefits are not shared with the Shravakas and others. Studying it will be remembered by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, but not by studying the vows of the Shravakas. At the time of death, remembering that after dying from here, one will meet the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, one will attain great joy because one has overcome the fear of death. Meeting the virtuous friends of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the next life is the third benefit. It is the complete merit gathered by the Paramitas.
