arises from listening, thinking, and meditating. Because it is said, "One should cultivate two dharmas." This shows that it arises from the meditation of both tranquility and insight. And that meditation is also because the separation of body and mind comes first, so one delights in solitude. Arising from thinking and meditating, although it is done with the mind, it is attributed to listening itself, because it is combining how the Dharma is heard with the mind and accomplishment. Precisely because of this, it is said, "One should strive," "combining" is a synonym for "striving." The work of offering to the lama shows that it is done with the body. In order to increase my merit, accumulating virtuous Dharma is with the thought of benefiting others, and it also transforms into the discipline of doing things for the benefit of sentient beings. In two ways, it shows abiding in the field of benefiting and abiding in the field of the lama. Taking abiding in the field of suffering as an example, it is explained with "for the sick" and so on. For good speech, giving with "granting well said" and so on shows the accumulation of virtuous Dharma of speech. In short, "good speech" refers to words that are in accordance with the antidote to all afflictions and complete purification. This also has two aspects, referring to words that rely on the Buddha's teachings and the qualities of the Three Jewels. Precisely because of this, when speaking, one should say, "This should be said." To speak it is to remember it. To utter it in language is the same. Generating joy is synonymous with unwavering higher intention and extreme joy. Just as one rejoices in what one has done, similarly, one also rejoices and is happy for what others have done. To be tolerant means not harming for the sake of body and speech. Because dedicating the virtuous deeds done to complete enlightenment shows that different merits will arise, it is said to be dedicated. It is planting true aspirations that are preceded by the ten great aspirations. Offering to the Three Jewels, in short, is material offering and real

It is offering. Therefore, it is said "all kinds." In order to prevent bad offerings, it is said "vast," Bodhisattvas should never make bad offerings. "Diligent" and so on, refers to the virtue gathered by applying generosity and other perfections. "Abiding in mindfulness" refers only to diligence. In order to show the virtue of the place of the path of accumulation, it is said "in the objects of training" and so on, guarding in a way that does not act with mindfulness, and with knowledge, even if it has been acted upon, it is completely guarded in a way of subsequent remedy. These two are because they are the antidote to not arising afflictions and arising afflictions. Because one does not have love for oneself, one completely knows the faults of one's own continuum and misdeeds, so it is complete knowledge. Also, because one sees the faults of this life and the next, it is regarded as a fault. After completely knowing and seeing the faults, one abandons in order to completely eliminate them according to the Dharma. Even if confusion arises, one confesses because one regards the fault as a fault, therefore, "confusion" and so on shows the place of confessing faults. Cultivation is to generate what has not been generated. Guarding is to abide in a way that does not forget what has already been generated. Increasing is to become more excellent in the way of abiding, vast and increasing, and becoming wide. In terms of the three kinds of sentient beings, eleven kinds of things to do are established in order to benefit sentient beings. The three kinds of sentient beings are the impoverished, those who have entered, and the angry. There are two kinds of impoverished, those who do not benefit and those who benefit. Among them, those who do not benefit are those who are tormented by the three kinds of suffering, for those who are tormented by the suffering of having no friends in the activities of sentient beings, becoming their friends, for those who are tormented by the suffering of disease, becoming their friends by taking care of the sick, for those who do not understand the meaning of the world and beyond the world and are tormented by the suffering of ignorance
