Now is the time for cultivation. It is said that one does not harm others and relies especially on the nature of compassion. Thus it is said. There are three types of precepts: the precepts to be taken correctly, which are mentioned for the sake of taking them well and correctly. The precepts to be restored, which are mentioned for the sake of restoring them if they are broken. The precepts to be subsequently guarded, which are mentioned for the sake of keeping mindfulness close in order not to break them. Therefore, it should be understood that the nature is shown, the nature of the precepts is the training, and the training is also well distinguished by the three types of actions as shown. In order to show the benefits of the four virtues, it is said that one takes the precepts correctly from others, and so on. When one deviates from the training, it means that even if there are faults of deviation at the time of deviation, one will not deviate in relation to others. The mind of a Bodhisattva is very pure, and even if there are causes for deviation, one will not deviate in relation to oneself. Because of hundreds of carelessness, forgetfulness, or not understanding, one deviates and then recovers, and because one generates respect and does not deviate in everything, if the precepts are completely pure, there is no deviation, there will be no regret and no knot in the heart. In this way, the first two virtues are to generate shame and embarrassment. The two of shame and embarrassment show that there will be no regret because they value the subsequent guarding of the precepts. The first two virtues are to guide the latter, because they show that they are the objects of the near cause. Therefore, it is said what is taken correctly from others, and so on. Furthermore, the three virtues are used to prevent destruction and non-deviation, thus showing that the precepts taken will not deviate. One virtue is used to show that even if one deviates, one will recover. In this way, in order to show the greatness of the nature of the precepts, from the nature of the precepts of the Bodhisattvas, which has four virtues, that is to goodness

It is said up to "to understand." The morality of Bodhisattvas is called virtue, because virtue itself is irredeemable. Irredeemable because it accomplishes the benefit of oneself and others. Therefore, it is said, "benefit oneself," etc. The benefit to oneself of the Hearers, etc., is to abandon all afflictions and to abandon them permanently, and to know the path among the four truths that lead them. Thus, they enter in order to attain the state of Nirvana, which is permanently free from suffering. They enter that vehicle because there are few things to do, few meanings, to nourish themselves, to subdue themselves, to pacify themselves, and to completely pass into Nirvana. The benefit to oneself of the Bodhisattvas is two abandonments and two wisdoms, because they are the fruits that exist in the inner mind stream. Others who are cherished are those who dwell in the non-lineage and those who dwell in the lineage. Entering for the benefit of them is entering for the benefit of others. It should be recognized that accomplishing the benefit of both like this is at the time of generating the mind of enlightenment. To explain accomplishing the benefit of others, it is explained by distinguishing with "for the benefit of many people," etc. Among them, those who dwell in the non-lineage are considered to be "many people." Benefiting them is, first, to completely protect them from the evil destinies, and to abandon non-virtuous dharmas temporarily through the two higher right abandonments. Happiness is to place them in the happy destinies, and to accomplish virtuous dharmas correctly through the two lower right abandonments. Among them, for those who are quarrelsome, without fortune, who have not become vessels and have fallen, like those who tame, in order not to abandon the superior intention of benefit and happiness, they enter out of compassion by abiding at the appropriate time. For those gods and humans who have the fortune to realize the nature of complete Nirvana, entering for their benefit, etc.
