As for saying "Nai," does this refer to making much use of attachment, or does it refer to making much use of being free from attachment? The mind seeks with the mind, which is to obtain the definite meaning that "knowing" is like this. The faculties are sought with distinctions such as dullness. Intentions are sought with distinctions such as inclination to inferiority. Latencies are sought with distinctions such as various realms. Regarding not taking well, and teaching the Middle Way as an antidote to the extreme of permanence, it is for the sake of representing the speech that has completely transformed the names of the places where other beings are born in that place and in that place, and for the sake of representing the differences in forms that have transformed into others, and for the sake of representing that after dying in good and bad destinies due to good and bad deeds, they are born, and thus it is shown. Regarding not taking well, and teaching the Middle Way as an antidote to the extreme of annihilation, it is through the power of knowing death and birth. The so-called "thinking that one has done what one has not done" refers to what has not been done completely. The so-called "not obtained" refers to not obtaining the path. The so-called "not touched" refers to the mind not being completely liberated, which is the same as not being completely liberated. The so-called "not manifested" refers to not seeing the wisdom of liberation. In order to teach the place that is briefly summarized by the eight instructions, it is said: Furthermore, it should be understood that it is summarized by the three places, and so on. There are two types of minds that have not been tamed and have not been cultivated: not being in meditative equipoise and not being liberated. Among them, first, regarding the mind not being in meditative equipoise, speaking from the perspective of being in meditative equipoise, the so-called "in order to make the mind that does not abide, abide" is the first five instructions, meaning that it is in order to make the mind that is not in meditative equipoise enter into meditation. The so-called "for the mind that abides" refers to teaching the path of means for being in meditative equipoise, that is, by teaching the instructions of the Middle Way that has become the antidote to the two extremes, it is close to teaching the path of means to obtain abandonment. The so-called "for one's own needs not being fulfilled" refers to one's own work not being completed, and I have done my work.

For those who abandon attachment to "Indra" and abide, it is to make them abandon such manifest pride, which means abandoning manifest pride. In order to summarize and combine with the three places, namely, for the mind and the senses, etc. Similarly, for bodhisattvas who obtain instructions from other places, this indicates abiding in the instructions and following teachings. Giving to others also indicates suitability for instructions and following teachings. Like this, those who abide in instructions and following teachings, and those who are suitable for instructions and following teachings, also gradually purify the types of powers, which means that the powers initially arise. To make them increase is to make those who have arisen increase. The eight powers of the eight instructions are in order: with the instruction of knowing the mind, one purifies the types of powers of knowing meditation, liberation, samadhi, and absorption. With the instruction of the senses, it is the power of knowing the superior and non-superior senses. With the instruction of intention, it is the power of knowing various intentions. With the instruction of latent tendencies, it is the power of knowing various realms. With the instruction of various entrances, it is the power of knowing the path of universal conduct. With the instruction of clinging to the untrue extreme of permanence, it is the power of knowing the remembrance of past abodes. With the instruction of clinging to the untrue extreme of annihilation, it is the power of knowing death and birth. With the instruction of manifesting pride in what has not been done, it is the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements. So, what is following teaching? This is a question raised by extracting the meaning of following teaching from the exposition of instructions and following teaching. It should be understood in five ways: in terms of the thing itself, there are two; in terms of the manner, there are three; and combining the two, there are five. After understanding the mind, etc., the words of allowing and prohibiting, indicating what should and should not be done, are following teaching. Following the words of the precepts established by the Tathagata, the mind
