acting, and allowing them to control coming and going, and complying with their minds except for what is meaningless; those with support are also of two kinds, in order to make those who have truly entered rejoice in various true qualities, speaking secretly or openly. For those who have entered wrongly, they should be disciplined with pure higher intention, for small offenses, acting with the characteristic of reproach, for medium offenses, acting with the characteristic of being subjected to punitive actions, and for great offenses, acting with the characteristic of expulsion. In order to show that it is meaningful to discipline, it is said, "For example," and so on. Disagreement is also of two kinds, those who practice wrongly, by clearly showing the path connected with various harms and sufferings, protect them from non-virtue; those who practice well, by persuading with miraculous displays, etc., generate small, medium, and great joy. The bodhisattva's discipline. In order to show that the cause of a bodhisattva abiding in the three disciplines becoming complete in the three disciplines, it is said, "The bodhisattva abiding in the discipline of vows," and so on. With ten aspects, one becomes a possessor of well-guarded discipline, which is synonymous with "discipline being completely pure and completely perfect," that is, for those who have abandoned desires, not acting with the desire to look, so not looking; for those in the future, not acting with the desire for present joy, so not looking; for the gains and respect that have arisen in the present, having no special attachment; body and mind being solitary; speech and thoughts being completely pure; not despising oneself and being mostly determined; mostly patient and abiding in mindfulness; being content and having pure livelihood. Just as one does not look at all at grass that has been completely abandoned with the intention of a dustpan, and at a toilet that has been completely abandoned with the intention of impurity, similarly, a bodhisattva does not look at desires that are like grass because they have no essence; at desires that are like toilets

Because afflictions are related to a decaying exterior, one does not look. Since those who have renounced the world with the intention of livelihood do not look at desires that have been completely abandoned, therefore, bodhisattvas do not look at the best of human desires, which is particularly excellent, hence it is said that they do not look at the desires of a universal monarch. Taking the best of divine substances as the standard, it is said that they do not look at desires that belong to the realm of demons. For example, if one is filled with various great terrors and enters a deep abyss, it is the root of harm and one cannot be liberated. Similarly, if one correctly sees desires, one will not be delighted. Because one is free from desire for gain and respect, if one correctly sees with wisdom that it is like vomit, one will not be particularly attached and will not taste it. To be delighted in complete solitude means that the body becomes solitary, therefore, it is said to be alone. Even if one gathers in a sangha, the mind becomes solitary, and one does not think that it is sufficient to rely only on discipline, but relies on it to attain the immeasurable samadhi of a bodhisattva, and strives to gain mastery. Evil speech means speech that is completely afflicted. Evil words are explained from different perspectives. Not accepting means not speaking, which is the meaning of not doing. Even on a hundred roads, one does not generate any thoughts of desire, etc., due to forgetfulness. If they arise, one regards them as regret and faults, and does not frequently use these two methods, but maintains mindfulness. The mind of not doing is synonymous with the mind of not doing. Any mind that arises will become desire, and if one is accustomed to desire, then not using it frequently will bring happiness, and it will be inconsistent with frequent use. Accumulating virtuous deeds and the precepts for benefiting sentient beings are expansive because they are vast. Because they cannot be measured from the basis, they are immeasurable. Because they transcend all objects of thought, they are inconceivable. It will not last long.
