Therefore. What Bodhisattvas cherish is discipline, which is explained from two aspects. The discipline of Bodhisattvas residing in the three realms is unsurpassed, and there is nothing more excellent than it. Beings residing in the lower realms and the realms of the gods, what they obtain by their nature belongs to the discipline of householders. Beings residing in the human realm belong to both in any situation. Furthermore, in order to explain all the disciplines belonging to both sides by the classification of three types of discipline, "the discipline of vows" and so on are mentioned. For example, the vows of the Shravakas are established to abandon the three types of afflictions arising from faults, namely, behavior in the desire realm, behavior in the form realm, and non-outflow. They are divided into three types of vows belonging to individual liberation, meditation, and non-outflow. The vow of behavior in the desire realm is abandoned by cutting off the seeds of affliction. The vow of behavior in the form realm is abandoned by suppression, even if the conditions exist, they will not all be used for a while. Non-outflow is abandoned by cutting off the continuum, and after obtaining it, it will never be used completely. Therefore, since their three disciplines are exactly the same as the disciplines that should be upheld, the three disciplines of Bodhisattvas should also be understood in the same way. In order to clarify that the discipline of a Bodhisattva who has entered the path, no matter where or in what state they reside, is the discipline established by the Tathagata, the term "seven assemblies" is mentioned, that is, relying on the seven assemblies, because it is divided by the seven assemblies. Because the vows of close dwelling are distinguished in different ways, they will become eight types. For both the lay and ordained sides, the discipline of a virtuous man and the discipline of a virtuous woman belong to the discipline of householders, because they are distinguished by being separated from faults. Others belong to the discipline of the ordained, because they are separated from desires and

It is for the sake of separation. Any virtuous Dharma, all of which are "abiding in morality," as stated in the Sutra, is to show that only by abiding in morality can virtuous Dharma arise, abide, and increase. It is said, "After having taken it up correctly," in order to accomplish the great Bodhi perfectly. This refers to the fact that in order to fully ripen the Buddha's Dharma in one's own mind-stream, one should understand that one is accumulating merit. In order to fully ripen sentient beings in the mind-streams of others, this is the morality of benefiting sentient beings. Therefore, the difference between these two is very clear. Other differences should be understood from the distinctions of intention and action. The mind is not mentioned because although there are also virtuous Dharmas that enter through the door of the mind, they are not distinguished and established because it is the occasion for morality, since morality is only of body and speech. It should also be understood that this is done collectively and separately. Some virtuous Dharmas are done by the body, etc., some are done by speech, and some are done by both. From the point of view of the basis, this is shown in three ways from the point of view of arising from association with listening, namely, arising from listening, thinking, and meditating. Because it is said that "two Dharmas should be meditated upon," it shows that it arises from meditating on tranquility and insight. Moreover, meditation is also because physical and mental solitude come first, so it is delighting in solitude. Even if it is a mental action arising from thinking and meditating, it is established as listening, because it is combined with how to think about and practice the Dharma that has been heard. Therefore, it is said, "One should strive," which is a synonym for "combining diligence." The activity of offering to the Lama is shown by the actions of the body. The accumulation of merit that I have done in order to increase merit, if with the intention of accomplishing the benefit of others, will also be transformed into the morality of benefiting sentient beings. The two ways show abiding in the field of benefiting and abiding in the field of the Lama. From the point of view of abiding in the field of suffering.
