What is great? From the perspective of intention, whatever small misdeed is done with complete entanglement of desire, etc., is small. Whatever is done with medium and great misdeeds becomes medium and great. From the perspective of the object, even if the intention is the same, it should be understood that due to the difference in the object, there are small, medium, and large. For example, due to the same complete entanglement, killing or instigating the killing of sentient beings who have been born in the realm of animals will lead to a fall, but this is not the case for humans. Even after becoming human, killing or instigating the killing of parents will even become a defeat, and will also become an action with immediate retribution. Therefore, from the perspective of the object, there will also be differences. From the perspective of accumulation, for example, if some people commit one or two, or three or five offenses, but do not repent according to the Dharma, this is small from the perspective of accumulation. Beyond that number, even if they commit ten or twenty, or even up to a hundred offenses that can be recognized, and do not repent, this is medium. If they commit countless offenses and do not repent, this is great. Similarly, here too, it should be applied in terms of small, etc. Having taken refuge in the Three Jewels, and especially having generated the unsurpassed, perfectly complete Bodhicitta, one cannot, like a single day, fail to make offerings and service to the Three Jewels. Therefore, the fault of not making offerings to the Three Jewels has been taught by the Thus-Gone One. One should prostrate in the manner of remembering, looking separately towards whatever direction the Thus-Gone One resides. One should also do the same for stupas, in the manner of remembering their qualities. One should also do the same for the scriptures of the Dharma and the Holy Dharma, here referring to the teachings of the Dharma that belong solely to the unsurpassed. Therefore, the Bodhisattva Pitaka, etc., are mentioned. Here, it refers to the Sangha of non-returning Bodhisattvas. From "It is also permissible for the Sangha" to "whatever is," etc., it shows this. Offering is done through body, speech, and mind. The offering of the body, even if it is

Actions such as prostration are indicated by the word "merely." In terms of speech, it is expressed from the word "even" to words such as "four-line verse." In terms of mind, it is expressed by remembering the qualities of the Three Jewels. Among them, the minimum is just the word "merely joyful." Among them, having faults is because of generating transgressions. Having contradictions is because it contradicts the nature of a Bodhisattva. A Bodhisattva who abides in the state of pure intention, because he has attained the excellence of pure intention, therefore, according to his nature, he constantly engages in the offering to the Three Jewels, so he has no time to be separated from the practice of offering. It is like a noble person who sees the truth. If one accepts the three, such as great desire, by looking at the body and possessions, it will become faulty, because it contradicts the nature of a Bodhisattva. Greed, etc., are definitely afflictions, so there is no non-affliction in them. If one generates the intention to abandon, there is no fault, because one relies well on its antidote and strives diligently. Abiding in it and preventing it, even if one suppresses it with the power of the cause and practices it universally, there is no fault. For those who deserve respect, based on respect, it is said "the most senior," etc. Those who have merit are trustworthy. Those who deserve respect are because speaking frankly in these two ways is appropriate. If you don't do this, the reason for the fault is indicated by "being suppressed by pride." If one is filled with pride, it will become afflicted. Not doing it with laziness and sloth is not an affliction, because there is no major fault of mind. Speaking is an occasional word. Universal speaking is a question such as "Are you comfortable?" Making it truly joyful is asking for other meanings. The way of reason means abandoning the idea of getting an answer. When falling asleep, the actions of waking up, etc., are indicated by "the consciousness of awakening."
