If one properly takes vows, then in which world and who has taken the vows? One would think like that. This is the wisdom seen by the previously sent wisdom, it is the seeing of wisdom. Or rather, it is wisdom itself that sees, because it is directly entering. The one called "like a son" is the Buddha. The ones called "like brothers" are the Bodhisattvas. In order to accomplish the meaning without obstacles, they lovingly cherish each other with good intentions. Because they do not abandon, it is growth itself. What the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas understand, called "knowing," is a synonym for "understanding." Among all the vows that are properly taken, it is particularly superior because it is the most supreme and the most magnificent. The particularly superior itself is also shown in four ways: because there is nothing more superior than it, it is unsurpassed. Because it is gathered by the immeasurable fruit of merit, it is endowed with an immeasurable accumulation of merit. Because it is generated by the superior intention of benefiting all sentient beings and happiness, it is generated by the most virtuous intention in the mind. If one possesses vows that are the antidote to all faults in the realm of all sentient beings, then in the realm of all sentient beings, one will not commit sins of body, speech, and mind in any way, and will not engage in them. The particularly superior itself, which is the antidote to that, is shown by the distinctions such as the Pratimoksha vows. The method of protecting the Bodhisattva who abides in the precepts of proper acceptance is shown by "oneself also" and so on. Judging the faults of what should and should not be done by the power of one's own intelligence, and what should be accomplished by body and so on, this is a part of the Bodhisattva. Likewise, accomplishment itself is the training. The extensive one is the Bodhisattva's collection, or rather, the hearing of what is taught from the mother text of the Bodhisattva's collection, is the display of such protection and precepts. In order to show the increase of the particularly superior, one should harm, so the difference of increase is to completely abandon sins.

It is shown by faith and so on in terms of the ground. Faith itself is because it has the power to generate liking for this discipline. Its opposite shows the very absence of faith. Not liking is (caused) by great faith. Not entering is (caused) by medium (faith). Not contemplating is (caused) by small (faith). Abiding in the position of the opposite of the six perfections, even from having six kinds of faults, one should not do harm. Among what is shown, because of universally practicing the view of body and possessions, one is greedy. Because of being under its control, one is overwhelmed by attachment. Like that, one is taking up the opposite of the perfection of generosity. Because of being under the control of the opposite of the perfection of ethics, it is said that ethics are broken. Immoral ethics are shown in two ways. Because of committing the root offense, because it is completely cut off, it is said that ethics are broken. Because of practicing the offense with remainder, because it has been broken, it is said that one does not respect the trainings. The very lack of respect is laziness. Impatience is shown from the aspect of intention and behavior. When one starts to do harm, because the mind is disturbed, it is anger. After that, by way of remembering the harm, the mind is disturbed again and again, so it is resentment. In the manner of the opposite of the four qualities of a renunciate, it is the fault of impatience. Because there is no joy in the aspect of virtue, one is an idler. Because one likes the opposite, one is lazy. The very liking of the opposite is shown by what is called 'mostly' and so on. The mind is distracted because the mind cannot abide in the meditation of calm abiding and so on. Wrong wisdom is shown in two ways. From universal practice, it is said to be of the nature of dullness and ignorance. Because one cannot fully understand the reality of well-spoken words and so on, one is dull-minded. Even if one has heard from others, one cannot fully understand, so one is of the nature of ignorance. Like that, it is explained from universal practice. Abiding in innate ignorance itself is shown by what is called timidity. Bodhi Satt
