Among them, there are four ways of understanding. These four ways of understanding come from those two. The so-called "worldly fame" and so on, the fame that is called in the world is worldly fame. The so-called "wisdom that enters by being familiar with names and conventions and following them," name is the name, convention is the term, familiarity means "the name of this thing is this." Following familiarity with names and conventions is following, that is, through familiarity with names and conventions, the wisdom that arises from one to another, the same is seen. If you ask, on what kind of things is it the same? It is to be explained, such as for the things of the earth, how is the same seen? That is, for the earth, it is thought that "this is only the earth, not other things." Like this, as well as the elements, what is transformed from the elements, the ten implements of the body, fields, etc., all things that can be grasped, and feelings, that is, the ten implements of the body arise depending on fields, etc., and what becomes the basis of all of them is what is transformed from the elements. All of them are also for the sake of feeling, because they arise from that. Good destinies and bad destinies, etc., only such things can be completely grasped. Saying "etc." includes other things, such as in short, "this is, this is not," this is the same seen. The so-called "object of definite faith," is the object of definite faith in things, that is, the definite object of things, through faith, thinking that the characteristic of this thing must be like this, like that definitely clinging. In order to explain that, the so-called "all things in the world are named by coming from one to another," this is saying the meaning of following the name mentioned above. The so-called "coming from one to another," and "the fame arising from one's own discrimination," this is explaining the meaning of convention, that is, clinging without thinking, without considering, without observing. In order to explain the truth that is famous through reason, the so-called "logicians have speculation, abide in the position belonging to logic, arise from their own courage, ordinary beings abide in speculation following speculation," that is to say,

The condensed meaning of these words is: The term "logician" is a term of doctrine. The two terms "endowed with discernment" and "abiding on the ground belonging to logic" are explanations. Discernment itself becomes endowed with discernment, and not exceeding its sphere of activity itself is abiding on the ground belonging to logic. Furthermore, what is the ground belonging to logic? It is those who, arising from their own courage, individually, ordinary people, enter into discernment after discernment, but not the realm of the noble ones who have entered after that sole reality, that is its meaning. Thus, one word is doctrine, two words are explanation, therefore, the third word is doctrine, three words are explanation, it should be understood in that way. Other classifications also exist: Logic should be understood as fivefold, namely: the nature of the object to be examined, the very absence of prior habituation and manifestation, the very non-reliance on scripture, engaging the mind through effort, and, having been completely grasped by the attraction of the former, being familiar with logic; it is considered complete by these five. The logician is endowed with these. The one endowed with these is a logician, not one endowed with scripture. Among these, what is called "engaging the mind" is engaging the mind with the object of examination. What is called "completely grasping" is completely grasping by the three kinds of valid cognition, and that is abiding on the ground of ordinary beings. What is called "untainted" is beyond the world. What causes the attainment of the untainted is that which has the characteristic of the path of application. What is called "worldly obtained from the aftermath of the untainted" is that both aspects are worldly, namely, that which causes the attainment of the untainted and that which is obtained from the aftermath of the untainted. What is called "to be made an object of activity by knowledge" is the object that is to be known by that knowledge, that is its sphere of activity. Why is it said to be the sphere of activity of the knowledge that completely purifies the obscurations of affliction? In order to show its cause. Beginning from "by focusing on it," namely, by focusing on it, knowledge becomes completely purified from the obscurations of affliction. The knowledge without a person is here called knowledge, having been collected into that, being completely purified from the obscurations of affliction is afflic
