Becoming arising, etc., all of these are faults of vowing by way of admission. Just as there is a fault of self-nature mixing in incomplete characteristics, etc., isn't it the same on the side with karma? If a distinction is made, because there is a difference of connection there, the difference can be stated, therefore this uncertain fault is not mentioned. Because there is no confusion there. Like this, there it is shown that there is no difference from karma, but not arising now. Again, someone says this: if the past and future do not exist, then how can the mind enter the object of focus? Those who argue and think like this believe that the past and future exist, because they are apprehended by the mind, just like what arises now. The aggregates are also of the three times, therefore it is established that saying 'everything exists' etc. is the basis. Saying 'also knowing that what does not exist does not exist' is an example of the mind entering a non-existent object of focus. If it is thought that such an aspect of existence is like that, then the mind that grasps non-existence should not become such an aspect of existence, because the power of the aspect of grasping determines that the object is existent, and if the knowledge of the aspect of the object is completely abandoned, then the nature of the object will not be determined. If, for an existent thing, one focuses on the name 'non-existent', then does the mind of the nature of deluded knowledge enter? No, because the two minds that focus on the name and focus on its meaning would become non-different. Deluded knowledge is only unable to focus on its meaning. Saying 'regarding non-existence, it is spoken with consideration of the nature of non-existence', if it is said like that, then how can it be reasonable to say that something devoid of existence exists? Who said that it is devoid of existence? There, there is no other characteristic of things other than that, therefore it is considered 'non-existence', but not in relation to my thing. For a thing that possesses its own characteristic, there is also no need to inquire in relation to other things.

There is something called 'is'. For example, just as blue has the nature of yellow, should it be said that blue does not exist in all aspects? 'Knowing as non-existent' indicates the Dharma nature of non-existence. Similarly, it is also because of holding the characteristic of being without error. Those answers speak of uncertainty. The so-called 'considering the characteristic of the result' means that some say that in order to produce the result, it is said to be past, not because there is a result. The so-called 'similar to being born' means that it is like the nature of anything that has been born, not that it has not appeared before. For example, the path that the noble ones have given birth to, what is born later is also the same, just as it has not appeared before. The so-called 'not always possible' means that whatever is in the future is encompassed by an inconceivable place. Regarding 'having conditions', if the result now arises, have not some conditions already passed? If the result has manifestly been established, because it is established as the object of the condition, at that time it is said to have conditions. The so-called 'similar to being born' means only being born, such as saying it has the nature of wisdom. Or it is said to be similar to being born. The so-called 'having the Dharma of non-birth' refers to things that will not be born later. The so-called 'past result' refers to the object of the result being past. The so-called 'like a place of non-reliance' refers to suffering. Regarding 'who says the self' and so on, if each word is stated with establishment and refutation, it will become cumbersome, so only the words of meaning are briefly stated. The so-called 'because it is not wisdom initiated in advance' means that no one has investigated in advance, because sentient beings' minds will also arise for them. The so-called 'is the lineage of sentient beings' minds entering' means that if the self related to this becomes non-existent, that is what is thought. The so-called 'having name, seeing the formations related to name, is merely the lineage of the mind of consciousness entering' means that if you ask how consciousness can be cognized, the answer is that it will be cognized from seeing its result, for example, feeling arises from the object and seeing.
