It is also said that this shows the similarity. Some say that the so-called "what arises from where, that shows the seed," therefore, they say that it is because it is said that "there is a cause." The so-called "having conditions" refers to the seed not being damaged, which shows the condition of the cause. The so-called "dominion of conditions" refers to being dominated by the other three conditions. The so-called "what is the first dharma that arises" shows that the first moment of the continuum arising is called birth. Therefore, it is said that "when the previous continuum arises." The so-called "the moment of birth that immediately follows the birth is abiding" is thought of from the moment of abiding. Others, because they do not admit the moment of abiding, completely translate this word as permanent abiding. The so-called "following after" refers to the continuation of birth without interruption. If so, then the word "moment of birth" becomes superfluous, so it should be considered as the moment of abiding, just like this, it is also said from those things that it is only its characteristic. Here, permanent abiding refers to the five kinds of abiding, namely, momentary abiding, permanent abiding, condition-dependent abiding, non-distracted abiding, and distinctively established abiding, which are only said to be complete distinctions. In the Compendium of Determinations, it is said that the arising of what was not before is dependent on things. Here, if you ask, "How is it contradictory to say that the dharma that arises is birth?" That is showing the difference. The so-called "the immediately following condition" refers to the same collection being the same because everything arises individually. Because it becomes the condition of similar kinds of things without interruption, it is the immediate condition. There is also a view that the actions are the same because they are exactly the same as those things. Or, all collections are the condition of the collection, which is called the same. The so-called "after which consciousness, which consciousnesses are certain to arise" refers to only the six consciousnesses, not the alaya consciousness, nor the mind. Mental factors are also the same, consciousness is mentioned.

Therefore, it is shown that one (cause) can manifest simultaneously without error. The dominant condition is any condition other than the seed, that is, other than the immediately preceding consciousness, because it is included in the immediately preceding condition. The so-called "whatever dharmas belong to the companion" refers to mental activity and so on. In order to illustrate that through the power of faith and so on, one can fully obtain the fruits of desire and so on, good and non-good and so on are mentioned. The reason for mentioning the five meanings such as self-nature is to show that these include various causes. Therefore, it is mentioned that "from its function, the coexistent cause is distinguished from the seed" and so on. If someone thinks that the seed does not contain the coexistent cause, then (the answer is) it does, because it has been explained that the position of the seed is the coexistent cause. The so-called "distinguishing the immediately preceding cause from self-nature" is because this is in terms of the majority of cases, because the companion is also like that. The so-called "distinguishing the dominant condition from the companion and so on," the word "etc." here is in terms of the way of function. The dominant condition is for fully obtaining agreeable and disagreeable results. Karma has already been discussed. Good and non-good are also merely causes, because there is no meaning of the coexistent cause that produces the effect. There are two types, namely, those obtained from birth and those arising from fabrication. This is rare, because Nirvana is without remainder. What is included here is not complete, but merely a detailed distinction. Or this is following what is said in the Sutra Pitaka. The so-called "corresponding to the share of merit" refers to not being a conspicuous result. The so-called "merit" refers to virtuous mind. It itself is a part, because it is one side of the collection. All collections are in accordance with it, and it is also in accordance with them. Alternatively, the result of merit is not merit itself. What corresponds to its part are mind and mental factors, because they make it manifest. Arising from merit and
