Some say that even the subtle particles have directions in order to subdue the aggregates. If so, it can be said to have parts. A contiguous object is an object that is connected, such that if any aspect of the object is grasped, the remainder also exists in that nature. Therefore, it is said that subtle particles do not cause aggregates. All forms that are caused refer to where forms exist that are caused by the elements and the aggregates of the elements. Some forms that are caused also exist differently from the elements, such as the light of a lamp and a jewel. If you ask, how are they born from the great elements? The answer is that lamps and jewels also arise in dependence on the great elements. Therefore, the great elements are called great elements, and the term "great" refers to giving a place to others, and in the world, such a form is called "great." Those aggregated forms, in short, have fourteen kinds of substances. How do white and so on exist as substances? Because the great elements that have obtained the distinction of their state are counted separately from the remaining great elements. The form that is the object of mind is excluded because it does not abide in aggregation, so it is not counted here. It is said that all the substances as shown above have elements, which indicates that the seeds of all the substances such as earth as shown above are in it. The sense of body should be explained according to its type. As it is said that the place of the sense faculty with form is also included in the great elements, it is the same because it is the same entity as the sense faculty. Therefore, from the determination of the collection, whatever sense faculty with form is with its place, and whatever consciousness is, these two are generally called all phenomena. Other aggregates besides that, besides the sense faculties with form, have other elements.

That which is called "because the form is made by the cause, it has its own nature," and "the form arising from the elements has its own nature and the seed made by the cause." It should be matched in this way. Therefore, it is also said below that "the form of the great elements has two seeds, namely the seed of the great elements and the seed of the form made by the cause." This summarizes the characteristics. The meaning of "transformed into those fourteen substances" is that whatever arises from one's own name is an aggregate. If asked, in one's own characteristics, doesn't the aggregate of the eye lack those fourteen substances? This is a general explanation of aggregation. If distinguished, the eye has earth and so on, the body, the root of the eye, and the corresponding objects. Others should also be matched in this way. In the body, in some places, the eye and so on should be subtracted. For example, stones and so on. If stones and so on have no water, how can they form an aggregate? Some say that it is aggregated by the water element, and when the water dries up, the power still remains, and it is in that state. Therefore, for the time being, regardless of whether there is no water in one's own characteristics, because it can function, it arises in that way and appears in that way. Or, where there is no water, accumulation and aggregation will not occur. Why is that? What does "the mandala of wind and dust, etc." mean? If asked, why is it that what arises from the elements is only a single aggregate? Dust is combined with it, because there is no difference in the same place, so it is not considered an aggregate. Therefore, whatever can be observed exists by its characteristics, and the function is through its own nature. Sound exists in all aggregates of form in the nature of elements. That is to say, arising and what arises from arising are also conditioned dharmas. The form of darkness and the form of light refer to those with defilements, because it is said that they are to be abandoned. Therefore, the Blessed One also said in the sutra, "When these five mind elements are liberated from desire and completely liberated, this consciousness will only remain." The so-called empty house is light and darkness.
