To become sorrowful, and the arising that is correctly summarized by the present has five aspects: sweeping, hiding, claiming as one's own, raising up, and slightly raising up. There are two for the future: separately enjoying and separately acting. For all three, it is to do thickly and to taste the flavor. Among these, to become sorrowful is the complete transformation of suffering. Sweeping is nourishing and completely protecting. Hiding is protecting from the place of harm. Claiming as one's own is claiming something as one's own with what should be claimed as one's own. Raising up is the arrogance of thinking, "I am the most excellent," as the Bhagavan said, "Beings are those who have the banner of arrogance." Slightly raising up is the arrogance of thinking, "I am small." Separately enjoying is the craving for seeking future benefits. Separately acting is completely seeking the benefits that are sought. Doing thickly is that which is not to be enjoyed closely, such as gold or other possessions. Tasting the flavor is whatever is to be enjoyed closely. Furthermore, if summarized briefly, the realization of the path and the manifestation of the fruit of the realization of the path are completely revealed by five words. Among them, the phrase "He is a Brahmin" completely reveals the realization of the path. Through the words "without doubt, cutting off regret, being free from craving, and not increasing attachment to arising and ceasing," the manifestation of the fruit of the realization of the path is completely revealed, in order to attain omniscience, to abandon the doubt of prophecy, to abandon the nature of forgetting actions while walking, to abandon the cause of future suffering, and to abandon the place of evil deeds, the cause of present suffering. Among these, in the context of this meaning, arising should be regarded as the characteristic belonging to the three realms and should be taken to heart. Ceasing is taking to heart the absence of characteristics. Attachment, in the context of this meaning, refers to desire, hatred, and ignorance, which, like those who abide in the absence of characteristics, will increase for the student, but not for the Arhat. Separately are thoughts, elaborations, attachments, and perceptions.

Action is the four afflictions, the first two are on the side of the renunciates. The latter two are on the side of the householders, if attachment grows, it will arise. Renunciates merely recollect from remembering the experienced realms, and proliferation comes from constantly practicing agitation. Householders experience attachment from being close to objects. From clinging to attachment and its characteristics comes its conception. The causes of all afflictions are two: inappropriate attention and the dharmas of its location. Whatever arises from a cause, that is its cause. What is the meaning of "whatever is impermanent is suffering"? Because of what is impermanent and similar, suffering such as birth and aging arises, and because of what depends on contact and feeling, it changes, arises and ceases, therefore it is said that all three feelings are suffering. Whatever has the nature of suffering such as birth, and whatever has the nature of suffering such as change, are those selfless because of their own selflessness? Or because self does not exist in it, it is selfless, therefore the aspects of emptiness and selflessness are mentioned. Complete knowledge is done through the wisdom that arises from hearing, that is, knowing that the Dharma that is spoken is spoken in this way. Correct knowledge is done through thinking. Definite understanding is done through meditation, that tolerance in which the three wisdoms move is joy, and true joy, and vast joy. To contemplate impermanence, to contemplate detachment, to contemplate cessation, is like that which arises from the Hearer's Ground. Impermanence, agitation, and destruction, which appear extensively, are expanded from one, combined consistently, and should be understood appropriately from the categories of impermanence, etc., to the categories of evil. To gain what has not been gained is what has not been gained from the beginning or has been lost from before. What should be understood is understanding the distinction of the higher. What should be made manifest is abandonment.
