It does not do. By individual discernment, it does not cause downfall through negligence. By cultivating antidotes, it does not cause downfall through many afflictions. By faith, it does not cause downfall through disrespect. Thus, relying on that Dharma, the aggregates of morality are all well-guarded and excellently guarded. The five Dharmas that a Bhikṣu diligently practices in the training of discipline are near peace, discipline, and transformation into peace. What are the five? They are: dwelling with trees is happiness itself, renunciation, the limbs of renunciation, reverence, and the near pacification of disputes. What is dwelling with trees as happiness itself? It is the six Dharmas that lead to perfect contentment, as stated in the Sutras. What is renunciation? It is the four wheels of gods and humans. The limbs of renunciation are the five limbs of renunciation. Reverence is the reverence towards the teacher, up to the point of increasing diligence. The near pacification of disputes is the seven Dharmas for the near pacification of disputes. Here, those who practice the same Brahmacharya with body and so on, arising from the practice of all undesirable things, and arising from unequal enjoyment with body and so on, and arising from Dharmas that disagree with morality and views, dwelling in suffering and mutually resentful minds, are the discordant aspects of the Dharma of perfect contentment. From the three causes of the white aspect that are contrary to that, it should be known that the six Dharmas of perfect contentment are established separately. The first establishes the three. The second is the fourth. The third is the fifth and sixth. Here, whatever action of body and so on that desires, benefits, brings happiness, and dwells near to others is called loving-kindness. Here, what is suitable for enjoyment is the gain associated with Dharma. The gain of Dharma is whatever is not accomplished by relying on the Dharma of wrong livelihood. What is put into the bowl is whatever is poured into the bowl. What belongs to the bowl is whatever, though not poured in, tends towards being poured in. Whatever is a good Dharma and not eaten specially is indeed eaten in common.

Eating without stinginess should be understood as truly eating. Even from food that merely fills the stomach, one should share. If one thinks that giving a little of it to others would be detrimental, and deliberately closes the door, one should not eat with a miserly attitude. The distinctions of the categories of ethics pleasing to the noble ones are as follows: they should be understood as arising from the collection of categories. The distinctions of the categories of views that transcend the world are as follows: they should be understood as arising from the collection of bases. Two causes lead to joy: trust in qualities is the lama himself, and the bestowal of benefit is satisfaction itself. The increase of joy itself is twofold: causing the unborn to arise, and increasing and expanding what has arisen. Among these, through the power of the lama himself, trust is generated. Through the power of satisfaction, one is gathered with dharma and material things. Through the power of both of these, one becomes harmonious. Through the power of harmony, not disturbing the mind in any way and not disturbing speech in any way is being without strife and without contention. In the manner of doing the same thing, like water and milk mixed together, one becomes one cause. The four wheels should be understood as being established based on the perfection of place, the perfection of instruction, the perfection of practice, and the perfection of retinue. Among these, abiding in a harmonious place should be understood through the five perfections of place, as shown in the Hearer Ground. A superior person should be understood as a virtuous friend, as shown in the Hearer Ground and the Bodhisattva Ground. One's own correct aspiration should be understood in five ways: to receive and hold the correct instruction in accordance with it and without error, to practice in accordance with the Dharma in accordance with the practice of the Dharma, to speak truthfully about oneself in accordance with the lama's instruction, and to be content with whatever Dharma robes, alms, bedding, and cushions, whether good or bad, and to practice them constantly.
