Father, and also the reason for it, regarding whether or not there is rebirth in the future, and the arising and ceasing of afflictions that completely hold its seed, and the establishment of the stable and correct Dharma of the world and beyond the world, just as it is, is also the same as this. These places that can be designated as teachings are only possessed by the teachers of this doctrine, but not by outsiders other than this. In the desire realm, the container world should be understood as being like a country. The sentient being world is like a person who acts according to the command. Mara is like a king. There are two worlds: the sentient being world and the container world. Among them, the container world is destroyed by fire and so on. The sentient being world, each individual self, as well as the momentary and each individual's body will be destroyed. Conditioned and unconditioned are these two. Among them, the conditioned is the Dharma of permanence, stability, constancy, and immutability, and is empty of self and what belongs to self. The unconditioned is empty of self and what belongs to self. Emptiness itself is also encompassed by the Dharma-nature of no cause, relying on the reasoning of Dharma-nature. That is like this, and not otherwise, all of these rely solely on the reasoning of Dharma-nature. The Thus-Gone One does not deny the ultimate end of the world, but nevertheless denies the ultimate end of the world through the way of beings connected with the body. Therefore, one should understand the world, the means to the ultimate end of the world, and also the boundary of the world, in the manner of ultimate truth. Among them, for the six sense sources, due to the power of naming, the concept of the world arises. The concept of the world arises due to the power of concept. The so-called world arises due to the power of concept and knowledge. The terminology of the world is to be done by the power of seeing, hearing, distinguishing, and discerning. Knowing just as it is that the six sources of contact are completely transformed into five forms is the means to the ultimate end of the world. The cause of future formations is correct.

Because of exhausting, it is reaching the edge of the world. Because of knowing cause and effect as they truly are, it is understanding the world. Because of holding the last of the body, it is holding the last of the world. Because in this life, craving for all objects is exhausted and one abides constantly, it is transcending craving in the world. In these ways, one should understand reaching the edge of the world. In the well-spoken Dharma-Vinaya, whatever sinful, unwholesome thoughts arise in an ordained person, arising is merely accepting, and it is definitely not an obstacle to pure conduct. It is best not to engage in it at all. Even if one engages in it, one does not accept it, and one should not distinguish the occasion of the basis in that continuum by the manner of abiding in that continuum. Why is that? Because a momentary affliction cannot cause one to fall from the state of pure conduct, but a continuous one can. There are two kinds of abiding in emptiness: abiding by abiding in emptiness, and abiding by the emptiness generated by it. Among them, the abiding of the Arhat's selflessness, that is called abiding by abiding in emptiness. Thus, an Arhat abides by the nature of Dharma. The abiding of selflessness is also the most excellent abiding of other abidings, therefore it is called abiding by abiding, and abiding itself is abiding, therefore it is called abiding by abiding. What is the abiding generated by it? For example, here some people, while walking, moving, and abiding, truly know whether afflictions are present or absent. If they are present, they diligently practice in order to abandon them. If they are absent, they generate great joy. That great joy also transforms into mental samadhi, and that samadhi also sees the selfless dharmas as they truly are. This constant learning day and night is abiding by the emptiness generated by it. Among them, if that person has afflictions in speech, truly knowing whether they are present or absent, this here is emptiness.

Here, the noble Śrāvakas see the four perfections of view, that is, they enter into emptiness as it is, and cultivate emptiness by worldly paths and also by transcendental paths. What is it to enter into emptiness as it is? That is, where there is nothing, one truly sees that place as empty, and where there is something, one knows that it is there, that it exists here. For example, the house of old used for the Uposatha is sometimes empty of certain groups of people and sometimes not empty. However, even if the house itself is empty of beams, cleanliness, doors, pillars, or any parts, the house itself is not empty of the house. Similarly, the body and place are also called the aspect of feeling, the aspect of perception, and the aspect of mind. The body and place are sometimes empty of certain afflictions and near afflictions of feeling, perception, and mind, and sometimes they are not empty. Even if the body and place themselves are sometimes empty of an eye, an ear, a tongue, a part of the body, or a part of the mind, the body and place are not entirely empty of everything. Therefore, the essential point here is that if one sees the nature of all dharmas as empty by nature, then it is shown that one has entered into the emptiness of perversion, and this Dharma and Discipline will be transgressed and destroyed. If some are seen as existing by their own characteristics and some are seen as non-existent, and the existent is also seen as non-existent and permanently separated, and the existent is sometimes seen as separated from some and sometimes not separated from some, this is called entering into emptiness as it is and without perversion. Among them, the cultivation by the worldly path is as follows: the noble Śrāvaka dwells in a very secluded place, not thinking of villages and people, and then thinks of a secluded place in his mind. He thinks to himself about his own body: this aspect of thought is empty of the thought of names and villages. But there is also something that is not empty in this, namely the thought of a secluded place.
