Experiencing the present feeling, this is called truly striving in practice. In this way, there will be no deception in inner realization. Conversely, one should recognize the five aspects of others' praise. At that time, the mind will be completely liberated from the suffering of the complete entanglement of the obscurations of this life, and the remaining habitual tendencies will be abandoned. In order to attain the noble path with its fruit in this life, one will also be liberated from the complete afflictions of the ripening of karma from the past and future. There are three types of individuals: those who have not entered the path of ordinary beings, those who have entered the path of learners, and those who have entered the path of ordinary beings. Among these, the first type of individual should be understood as threefold. The second and third types are also the same as this. So, how should one recognize the first of these three? This refers to some individuals who possess worldly right view, such as the belief that giving exists, and elaborating on it. However, later, due to hearing non-Dharma and improper attention, the worldly right view seems to tend towards cessation, but it is not completely ceased.

It becomes like this. When initially realizing directly, Buddhas and others, before directly realizing the truth, have already abandoned ignorance about it, so at that time they will not abandon it, and because they have faith in Buddhas and others, they will also generate wisdom through direct realization. Only through the path of learning, other forms of ignorance to be abandoned by cultivation will be abandoned, but wisdom will not be generated, because the nature of the path is the same. When directly realizing the path of no learning, all ignorance to be abandoned by cultivation will be abandoned, and that wisdom of no learning will also be generated. The third type of person, when hearing the holy Dharma that possesses selflessness, initially just hearing it will generate faith, but it does not enter from the depths of the heart. Because he has faith in selflessness, he will abandon the view of self, but because it has not penetrated deeply into the heart, he will not generate the view of selflessness. When he applies his mind properly as he has heard, at that time it becomes entering from the depths of the heart, therefore he will generate the view of selflessness, but he will not abandon it from the perspective of latent tendencies. Through the path of cultivation before that, in order to directly realize the truth, he will abandon it from the perspective of latent tendencies, and generate the unpolluted. In summary: two are five, three are ten, and the four sets are also the last. There are two types of karma: heavy karma and light karma. There are also two types: accumulated and non-accumulated. There are also two types: intentional and unintentional. There are also two types: definitely to be experienced and uncertain to be experienced. There are also two types: the result has already ripened and the result has not yet ripened. There are three types of karma: virtuous karma, non-virtuous karma, and neutral karma. There are also three types: experiencing pleasure, experiencing suffering, and experiencing neither pleasure nor suffering. There are also three types: to be experienced in this life, to be experienced in the next life, and to be experienced in other instances. There are also three types: those of learning, those of no learning, and those who are neither of learning nor of

Nor is it an object of learning. Furthermore, there are three: that which is to be abandoned by seeing, that which is to be abandoned by meditation, and that which is not to be abandoned. Furthermore, there are three distortions: distortions such as the body. Furthermore, there are three faults: faults such as the body. Furthermore, there are three impurities: impurities such as the body. Furthermore, there are three purities: purities such as the body. Furthermore, there are three tolerances: tolerances such as the body. Karma is of four types: black karma, the ripening of which is also black; white karma, the ripening of which is also white; mixed black and white karma, the ripening of which is also mixed black and white; and karma that is neither white nor black, the ripening of which is also nonexistent, which is the exhaustion of karma. Among these, heavy karma should be understood through three causes: intention, action, and field. Among these, intention refers to acting with intense afflictions, rejoicing greatly upon seeing someone who is in accordance with the Dharma, and afterwards frequently recollecting and contemplating; such is heavy karma from the aspect of intention. What is it like from the aspect of action? It is accumulating by constantly doing it, striving, and becoming familiar with it for a long time, and also causing others to fully engage in it, and also praising it; such is heavy karma from the aspect of action. What is it like from the aspect of the field? Whether one treats well or mistreats those sentient beings who abide in the fruit of benefiting, fully entering, and fully striving in practice, that is heavy karma from the aspect of the field. Among these, karma done unintentionally, dreamed in a dream, that which is not obscured and not predicted, regret for non-virtue, that which is completely controlled by the antidote, and all karma that purifies the continuum, all these will not be accumulated. The opposite of that should be understood as accumulating. Among these, intentional karma refers to that which is done after intentionally thinking beforehand, and then observing and contemplating; this also has the distinction of being mistaken and not mistaken. Among these, mistaken refers to killing, stealing from others, or causing discord, or causing discord, or deceiving with lies, and so on.
