In order to be born as a great one, and because of being free from the three kinds of diligence and not having the three kinds of painful feelings arising from diligence, it cannot be born from previously created causes. Regarding that intense asceticism, if previous non-virtuous actions will experience suffering, then there is no power to experience happiness, so it will inevitably be like this: because oneself is completely tormented, one sees that previous non-virtuous actions are purified. If that is the case, then is the painful feeling of diligence experienced in this life the result of experiencing suffering from previous non-virtuous actions? If it is said to be the result, then asceticism will also become meaningless, because it will be exhausted only by experiencing its result, and if that is the case, it is the previous non-virtuous actions, and not purified by asceticism. Some people think that by experiencing the results in this life, one aspect of karma will be exhausted, while the other will be experienced in other instances, therefore, it will be experienced in the next life, which cannot be purified by asceticism through the means of results. If the pain of diligence is not born from previously created causes, then it cannot be said that all those things that will be experienced are born from previously created causes. Just as the suffering to be experienced cannot be transformed into the happiness to be experienced, the happiness experienced from previous virtuous actions cannot be transformed into the feeling of suffering, or neither can be transformed. Furthermore, what is to be experienced in this life cannot be experienced in the next life, what is to be experienced in the next life cannot not be experienced, what is not yet ripe cannot be made to ripen, and what is already ripe cannot be changed into that. Regarding this, the summary of the meaning is: all virtuous and non-virtuous actions, their nature is certain, the time is certain, and the form is certain, and how they are certain, the results will also be completely grasped. So, what is the use of the painful feelings of diligence that I have endured?

Do. If those feelings arise from the cause of previous actions, then even if only one aspect of karma appears, it will only become a benefit of those feelings. Since one has already committed to it, it will not even become a benefit. In that case, it is always deceptive, and being bound by karma, one will not be liberated. Therefore, this is a false doctrine, This is the first fault of wrong practice. It is like this: deceiving one's own inner interests. What is criticized by others? Those rely on two kinds of speech and three kinds of asceticism. Whatever little this person experiences, all of that arises solely from the cause of previous actions. This is one kind of evil speech, because it speaks of dissimilar causes. Others say this, like this: initially, it was emanated by Ishvara (自在天). From then on, one will experience the karma of previous actions. This is the second kind of evil speech. The three kinds of asceticism are the discipline of body, the discipline of speech, and the discipline of mind. Among them, the discipline of body is that the body does not stay together with other sentient beings, but dwells in thickets, forests, monasteries, and secluded places, doing only what is not seen by everyone. Among them, the discipline of speech is to uphold the vow of a silent ascetic. Among them, the discipline of mind is not to accept the feelings that arise in the mind. Those, like this, with these two kinds of perfect views and three kinds of perfect asceticism, will be completely liberated from suffering. They think and proclaim in that way, but they themselves have not been completely liberated from suffering, therefore they are criticized by others. If everything arises from the cause of previous actions, and from the cause of being emanated by Ishvara, and from the cause of not abandoning the three kinds of asceticism, then in that case, when those people themselves, together with the three kinds of asceticism, experience suffering, the previous karma is dark, and Ishvara also emanates as sinful, and without abandoning the three kinds of asceticism, now suffering
