It will not change, therefore, all his consciousness aggregates and feelings will cease here, and will not connect to the next life. His feelings, like a shadow, depend on the tree of consciousness; when the tree of consciousness ceases, they will also completely disappear. At that time, because he has completely abandoned all the companions that could cause him to be afflicted from previous karma, he will not be afflicted in the next life by two causes (referring to the cause and the co-existent cause). When he ripens, he will feel afflicted, for example, the continuum of actions also completely ceases. At that time, his mind towards sentient beings will become a loving-kindness without hostility, because he has abandoned the intention to harm that targets sentient beings, so there will be no mind that turns into harm. Because he sees sinful actions as faults, and abandons them by correctly accepting them, his mind will also become free from desire. By obtaining the antidote path, his mind will also become very liberated. A person who has transformed in this way will obtain six constantly abiding things, and through these things, he will abide more in this, and his abandonment will be completely determined as virtuous. Even if there are causes and conditions for sinful and unwholesome actions in this life, he will not be defiled, which is more excellent than before he abided in the precepts. To think and say that the result of karma is experienced, one should know that this is the five kinds of pervasive imputation. One should know that there are five kinds that are not pervasive imputation. If someone asks, which five are pervasive imputation? The answer is: for example, clinging to a non-corresponding cause, clinging to no cause, and the three faults of clinging to a non-corresponding cause and no cause. Among them, what is clinging to a non-corresponding cause? For example, some people think and say like this: whatever this person experiences comes from the cause previously created. Things produced by the cause transformed by Ishvara are also the same. To think that one experiences things without cause or condition is decay.

is to posit it as without a cause. What are the three faults of positing it as such? That is, having non-virtuous feelings in this life, if it arises from the cause of past actions, there is also a fault; if it arises from the cause of actions in this life, there is also a fault. If it is said that it arises from the cause of past non-virtuous actions, if that is the case, then some who properly uphold the Dharma are happy, and there are also non-virtuous ones, so the non-virtuous feeling should not arise from the cause of past non-virtuous actions. Why? Because past non-virtue cannot ripen into happiness in this life. If it is said that it arises from the cause of non-virtuous actions in this life, if that is the case, then those who say that the cause is not in harmony and those who say that there is no cause, their vows will be broken, because everything arises from the cause of previous actions, this is the first fault. Furthermore, if it is certain that non-virtue also arises from the cause of past non-virtuous actions, and virtue also arises from the cause of virtue, if that is the case, then those who diligently practice virtue as an antidote to non-virtue, and any corresponding diligence, will also become meaningless, this is the second fault. Furthermore, if there is no action of a person, then from the arising of virtue and non-virtue, the wisdom of how to properly discern what should be done and what should not be done is also unnecessary, because under wisdom, this is what should be completely abandoned, this is what should be diligently accomplished, if there is no such thought, then it will also disappear, so proper wisdom is also not allowed. If one does not have wisdom, then memory will not remain. If memory does not remain, then there will be no samadhi. The minds of those who are not in equipoise are confused by evil thoughts. The senses of those who are confused should be known to be like children. Those who have become like children, then those who are said to be monks with the Dharma of monks, they will also decline, this is the third fault. These are the three faults in summary, that is, the fault that the non-virtuous feeling that arises now arises from no cause, and the dili-
