There are, namely, those who speak of conflicting views and desires, and worldly absorptions. For those with conflicting views and desires, it is to establish view-attachment. For worldly absorptions, it is to establish moral discipline and asceticism attachment. Those who rely on both of these aspects belong to the category of self-assertion, therefore, for both of these aspects, self-assertion attachment is established. The sixty-two views among them are the same as before. Moral discipline is what is harmed by views arising from the reversed conceptions of bodily discipline and verbal discipline. Signs, attire, food, drink, conduct, behavior, and tutelary deities that are in accordance with it are asceticism. Whoever says that the self exists in terms of truth and permanence is called self-assertion. Among them, truth is because it exists as a substance. Permanence is from the perspective of establishment. Among them, what arises from the cause of desire's existence is desire-attachment. What arises from the cause of craving for gain and respect based on saying that one knows, is view-attachment. What arises from the cause of craving for absorption is moral discipline and asceticism attachment. What arises from the cause of craving for existence and non-existence is self-assertion attachment. The knots are four, and as before, one should know that the outsiders are temporary. The five obscurations should be known as establishing five inconsistent situations. Because dwelling in a house is robbed by external objects, it is the teaching, and from the perspective of inconsistency, it is desire. Those who are in accordance with the Dharma speak, debate, and follow teachings, etc., and because they cannot tolerate taming, from the perspective of inconsistency with the Dharma that should be truly rejoiced in, it is hatred. From the perspective of inconsistency with tranquility, it is drowsiness and sleep. From the perspective of inconsistency with insight, it is excitement and regret. From the perspective of inconsistency with determining the talk of the increase of Dharma, practicing Dharma, and generating faith in the teachings of the teacher and Nirvana

It is the obscuration of doubt. Those who are completely bound by desire, hatred, and ignorance, by whatever binding or latent state, make the mind unable to accomplish its own benefit and the mind is not pliable, those are the inferior ones. Attachment to a bad object is called defilement. Hatred towards a basis that should not be confused is called defilement. Ignorance towards a basis that is clear and even a child can understand is called defilement. Because desire, hatred, and ignorance are constantly and universally practiced, they are always destructive, hence they are called destructive signs. Being separated from knowing shame and having embarrassment, that is, not knowing shame and being shameless, certainly constantly not restraining desire, hatred, and ignorance, are called thorns. Knowing shame and having embarrassment are mixed; from the perspective of the continuum, they exist, but from the perspective of a moment, they do not exist; having such a thought, that is, being summarized as a knot, being abandoned by the meaning of evil, is called inferior. All non-virtuous actions of the body are misconduct. Just as with the body, the actions of speech and mind are also the same; because of universally practicing actions that lead to bad migrations, they have been obtained, will be obtained, and are being obtained, therefore they are called near conduct. This shows the pervasive afflictions of karma. The former shows the pervasive afflictions of afflictions. These two are the statement of the establishment of the pervasive afflictions of karma, namely, wrong speech and right speech. Among them, if someone says this: all non-virtuous actions intentionally committed, certainly will fall into bad realms and experience suffering, then he is slandering those who abide in pure conduct for the sake of liberation from suffering. Why is that? Because if even in this very life, not intentionally committing non-virtuous actions, such beings are not easy to find, what need is there to mention other lives? Therefore, they will certainly fall into bad realms, and in this way, no one will have the opportunity to attain liberation, so it should be known that this is wrong speech. If someone says this: intentionally committing non-virtuous actions
