How pure, so it is extremely difficult to know. Whatever is undesirable, its manifest accomplishment is aging, sickness, death, encountering the unpleasant, separation from the pleasant, not obtaining what is desired, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, discomfort, and turmoil. These are undesirable, and one is fond of the manifest accomplishment of these formations, and one delights in the formations that have the root of birth, and by doing and accumulating actions that have the root of birth, one will be born. One will not be completely liberated from the suffering of birth, and from the distinctions of suffering such as aging, which has the root of birth. Thus, whatever is undesirable is said to be manifestly accomplished. There are four certainties of formations: certainty of impermanence, certainty of suffering, certainty of emptiness, and certainty of selflessness. Among these, past and future formations should also be understood as impermanent in three ways, let alone those that are happening now. What are the three? Existence preceded by non-existence, non-existence preceded by existence, and possessing arising and ceasing. If future formations, those that have not yet occurred, are only completely non-existent, and if they are not existence preceded by non-existence, then they are not certain to be impermanent. For what reason do they appear to be non-existence preceded by existence later, when they were previously non-existent? Therefore, they are certain to be impermanent. If the formations that are happening now, those that have already arisen, are only existent, and if they are not non-existence preceded by existence, then these are not certain to be impermanent. For what reason do these appear to be only non-existence preceded by existence later, when they were previously existent? Therefore, these are certain to be impermanent. If the arising and ceasing of past formations do not appear, then they are not certain to be impermanent. For what reason have they arisen and ceased? Therefore, they are certain to be impermanent. This is called the certainty of impermanence of formations. Thus, the suffering of suffering also appears in impermanent formations.

and the suffering of change, the suffering of formations also appears, this is called certain suffering. Thus, impermanent and suffering formations, relying on that and that collection, arise by the power of cause and condition, and are devoid of the cause of Isvara and the Lord of beings, etc., this is called certain emptiness. Formations without an agent have entry, there is no agent and no feeler, and being devoid of self and what belongs to self, this is called the selflessness of all formations. Among these, the impermanence of formations should be understood as twofold: in relation to the past time, it is because they have perished; and in relation to the future and present arising time, they are of the nature of destruction. Among these, the suffering of formations should be understood as twofold: birth and so on are of the nature of suffering, and because of the three kinds of suffering, that should also be understood as before. Among these, emptiness should be understood as twofold: the emptiness of annihilation and the emptiness of subsequent separation. The emptiness of annihilation is like this: formations are empty of self and what belongs to self. The emptiness of subsequent separation is like this: the mind that has abandoned all defilements, being empty of all defilements and liberated. Among these, selflessness should be understood as twofold: because formations gather in various ways and are of the nature of many, and because they depend on dependent origination and have no autonomy. These four aspects can also be understood as ten aspects, namely: destruction, change, dispersion, non-arising, the nature of phenomena, as well as meeting, unpleasantness, establishment, lack of pleasure, separation, and incompatible aspects. As previously shown from the path beyond the world of the Hearer's Ground, from the practice of contemplation. These five are the realms of the side of separation, namely: the realm of abandonment, the realm of detachment from desire, the realm of cessation, the realm of Nirvana with remainder of aggregates, and without remainder
